If you were to promote ONE healthy habit, what would it be?

Mine would obviously be 'get off your booty' and walk or exercise or hike or bike... but what do YOU guys consider most important? I think exercise promotes good health and helps reduce the effects of health conditions you might have much more than things like dieting or restricting yourself. If you only choose one thing to focus on, what is it?

hi, if i could have promote one healthy habit i will choose an exercise everyday, because through exercise all toxins and fats in your body will release and will implement the good flow of your blood in your vein, and aside from that it will make you more younger and more energetic.

YEAP... walking is the best exercise i could recommend anyone.. my office carpark is actually about 10-minute walk to the office building itself.. and my office is on the 3rd.floor - and i usually take the stairs instead of the elevator.. i spend almost 10-hours at the office - just sitting most of the day.. so.. the 10-minute walk to the carpark + the hike up the stairs.. may not be much.. but, i feel like i have done some exercise for the day..

Exercise is a great one. I think if I was going to promote one thing...it would be moderation. I think that most anything can be ok if it is not overdone.

I think if I had to choose ONE healthy habit to promote it would be: "Moderation is the key to healthy eating" it is better to eat a little several times a day than to eat alot 3 times a day choosing low cal/ low fat foods helps but even regular food can do wonders when taken in smaller portions

The one healthy habit that I would choose to promote is one that I already promote quite heavily. That is eating lots of good nutritious (organic hopefully) fresh fruits and vegetables and giving up eating processed foods. In my opinion this is where it all has to start. Forget the exercise for now as that will come more easily and naturally once your dietary intake has improved. Once a person gets through their initial detoxing they then lose excess weight, gain energy and all of a sudden, find themselves itching to become more active. It comes naturally and does not have to be forced. Good food and exercise go hand in hand and are both super important, but the dietary changes have to come first in my opinion if one wants to keep up the exercise regime. Exercise without the dietary change will be much harder to maintain.
