MyLot is a discussion site and we earn for our QUALITY participation (starting discussions, responding and commenting) in QUALITY discussions. We earn when we post in English. Chat/text style (like 'idc', 'cuz' etc.) will earn us nothing at all. You can read all of the Guidelines here: http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx

Just bear in mind that when the earnings update, if you consider them as low, it could be that the posts where you used abbreviations were not considered at all.

What about typing by starting it with a small letter?

You will likely earn a little from just posting discussion topics, provided that you have read the Guidelines thoroughly and observe them. The whole point of MyLot, however is summed up in two words: QUALITY and DISCUSSION. A discussion only really becomes a discussion when it has a topic, one or more responses and your comments/replies to those responses. MyLot is not a 'blogging' site. A blog is quite different from a discussion, being a regular web-based log - hence the term, weblog, shortened to 'blog' - or diary of events, personal thoughts, reviews and other articles on a particular page which is owned by you. A blog may, indeed, allow comments by others and could become a 'discussion' (if the topic were suitable) but it is quite different to the way that MyLot works.

When I added a comment upstairs, I noticed and was prompt to add mylots (with s) as another category...

The more interests that you add then the more chances you have of finding interesting topics. Starting with a capital letter or not is a grammatical query. MyLot does not query grammar but does tell us to post in English. Of course if our grammar is correct then it has more chances of being picked up by search engines and that means traffic, which myLot needs.
