Disappointed with the company I work

I am so disappointed with the company that I am currently working. I feel like they are just using their employees. The tax season in the U.S. is almost over so there will be less calls. The account is starting to find errors or mistakes or violations, so to speak, just for them to find some reasons to let an employee go or in other words, terminate. I have a friend who is also my co-worker. She has a 5 day suspension but since our account is "queueing" they did not suspend her until it will become "avail" again. All Admin Hearings are pending until the account is avail again. So ironic. Well, that's how the business works as they say. I am just so disappointed with how it works. It will actually help some people earn but the truth is that people are just being used. I think for me, they should be upfront. Be honest. They should just hire contractual workers only because even the regular ones are not exempted. If they find mistake even for those who are already regular employees, they will decide if they terminate the employee or not.

Yeah, I am actually considering of resigning. I just wanna put up my own business. In that way, I can manage my own time and never have to face those kind of stress that a call center industry gives. The callers are giving me so much stress but the management is a whole lot of stress.

Hi Ganesh44! It is very difficult find a good company specially if you are working in a call center industry. For me, if you are not happy, find another job. I do not want to waste my life being unhappy.

That is why people generally recommends one to have their own business and be their own boss. As long as you work under people, or for people. You have to listen to them and you are a subject to their discretion. If you get a good company or employer, perhaps you will be valued and respected. Otherwise, you are just being used and when you have no use, you will be exposed of just like kids abandoning their stuff toys when they have video games around.

The part about your co-worker being pulled from suspension to work is normal. In fact, every company has that. I think they can actually do that to employees who are on suspension. The wrong thing is to fire employees who've done nothing wrong. Firing employees should conform to the contract that you've signed. If you didn't see anything that says "You will be fired because we said so.." then it's suggestible that you file a breech of contract.

Hi iamcruellodevyll! There are really a lot of call centers that are really disappointing with their rules. I have been to a company where they do not allow employees to be absent though they are sick. My friend once had a high fever, which was found out later on as a Dengue Fever. When she was absent for a couple of days and advise her Team Leader she is in the hospital, her Team Leader told her that she can't be on absent and she needs to go on half day. She then resigned after she went out of the hospital. This also happened to me with the same Team Leader but I had an amoebiasis.
