Rush to wait... wait to rush!

Have you ever been in the situation where you rush to wait and then get to your destination only to wait to rush again?
I remember the days when I was serving my national service, my commander loves to do that.
So for a 7:30am morning run, we have to wake up at 5:30am to prepare for it.
By 6am, we would be standing in the parade square waiting for the instructors to arrive to start the run!
How but you? Have you ever neem in a situation where you rush to wait only to wait to rush again?

It's always the case for me because i dun like people to wait for me. I prefer to wait than be waited on.. lol 
I've always prepared myself to wait since i like to arrive early. It's alright for me to rush as i know how fast or slow i can take to reach there. What i dun like is people rushing me to arrive, yet they are not even there yet 
Once i had that 1st experience with them, i will learn my lesson and won't leave my house till they are there. haha
