An apartment complex we lived in was right smack up against yet another complex. So noises from one apt. six feet away could wake somone in the other complex. well one night we heart dht couple next door giggling then they played this recording of the newly married couple just acrossfrom our bedroom window."Oh yes,s,s oh um, ah no , oh lover oh oh ah yes" anda few grunts were also on the recordine. The young married couple had a habit of leaving their 'bedroom windows wide open and the blinds not drawn.Thest two next door to us then replayed that thing as the womn across from us slamned the windows closed and pulled the blinds closed too.We figured they recognized their own love making sounds from that recording. Not disregarding the silliness of that recording, I felt both the young marrieds, and the couple next door to us were at fault as that really while funny was also probably\ against the law taping someone without their consent. your take mylotters. My husband and I always closed our windows and closed the blinds before making whoopee.

I have been fortunate enough not to live next door to couples who were loud in their "activities" However, I remember back when we lived in this apartment and a neighbor who lived up against this other couple who told us that they would hear the young couple sometimes and I just shook my head, I can't believe one wouldn't consider how paper thin apartment walls are..

hi carm I have thought the same thing as very few apartment complex owners go to the expense of Insulating their apartments. We laughed at the couple playing the video but actually I think it was not funny taping their actions. but it took just one playing to embarrass the young couple, so that was good.

That is a natural thing dear.. .I mean, every couple should remember to close the doors and windows, before they get at it... It should come naturally.. It was wrong of the couple to leave the windows open... And it was worse for your neighbors to record the voices.. It must have been an awkward situation.. LOL

hi Mr--Pearl thats it most people naturally close the widnow and pull the blinds shut as it is a very personal thing between just the two people. Those kids playing that record really startled and angered the other young couple. But at least they did close their window and close the blinds. lol. very awkward situation indeed.

That must have been really awkward, but it could be worse. You'd think they'd recognize their own voices and make sure to shut windows and blinds and not be so loud.

guess I'm just lucky to live in a place where lots are cut and fenced individually so there's quite a distance from one house to the other plus the option to put up your own wall with a height that suites your preference, so glad I won't have to put up with something like that, isn't that like or similar to wire tapping?

hi louievill I had the feeling it was similar and illegal too.anyway the poor young couple kept their window shut and blinds drawn after that. those apartments had no soundproofing at all. Living in a complex like that one is at the mercy of the other tenants and boy are some noisy and late at night too. no fun being kept awake by someones noisy all night party.

hi cairalyssa. that was my thoughts too. It might have seemed funny at the time but this was an invasion of their privacy.I thought if'those two got caught at that they could be in real trouble. the newly weds did close their windows but I flet this was so wrong and what really irritated me was that the girl next door was the owner of the apt, complex daughter. So she should have known better.yes I do see your point.

Hmmm, I like to watch them...lol. Yeah, young couple would make different things or make them act booming. Be star in different way. There are many private video of whoopee, which can be watched or download for free, I don;t know about their mind, it seem they don't have shame. Once again, but I like to watch...ha.ha..ha

Hi Hatley! The way I feel about that is, if the idiots were smart enough to close the windows and blinds before making whoopie then they wouldn't have to worry about someone taping them! Geeze. The nerve of some people! Here, have some common sense! LOL Can they say DUH?!

If I had never shut the windows before, I sure would have after that. I bet that other couple got a few nights of peace too. If it had been me, I would have been horribly embarrassed but I do have a bit of a mean streak too. I might have made a very special recording to play a few nights afterwards.

oh yes indeed we were so glad when we had to move outl new p eople bought the complex and at once started to kick out all the tenants so they could remodel the apartments. we did move next door but the newly weds had moved out b y then.then we moved to our locaiton where life decided to turn our lives upside down. My son lost his job, we used all o ur sav ings up paying 1200 a monthe for a lousy crummy apt. got evicted so here I am still here three years later. My son has an almost full time job but they hired him as extra help so no fringe benefits. He and three others who he knew from Housing America moved into a rooming ho use so he has three room mates. He is just not making enough to afford a two bedroom apt yet. a

Hi JenInTn yes it was funny but they were embarrassed I am sure as they slamned the window shut and pulled the blind down too.I am sure the two kids next door plus us slept well for achange. Then the girl next door and the boyfriend were using marijuna which did not set well with her dad who owned the complex. They would get into loud noisy arguments on the stoop outside our apartment late at night but who were we going to complain too since he was the manager and owner too?We finally had to move from there.

Sometimes moving can be the best alternative. Neighbors really have the ability to make or break a place. Sounds like you had some that really kept you on your toes..LOL.

hi saphy yes I and my husband had a good laugh as we heard the kids next door turn on the recording. we recognized it at once as we had been subjected to their noise and her shrieks before. We were kept awake often. This recording must have really embarrassed them as they banged their windows shut and jerked closed the blinds. From then on we all were all to sleep again.

Hello Hatley, I don't know if its against the law or not to record someones voice but that really is irritating when they don't close windows and their voice is loud to be heard by neighbours.Couples should shut their windows and doors before being on bed.

sjvg well it.,the recording did bring them to their senses. from[ then on they closed their window and pulled the blinds shut before going to bed. we all started sleeping much better. before I found myself putting a pillow over my head trying to block out her shrieks .She reminded me of the alley cats shrieking like that.

Hi , Hately , one thing I don't understand. If the girl was the owner's daughter , didn't she know you personally ? after all , she probabely had to take the rent from you every month , and give it to her father that lives far away ... , didn't she ? If she knew you , she would probabely try to be more thoughtfull before making noise. May it be love or even fighting or a loud argument ...I think those are all the same.: If you heare a couple that has a loud argument about a personal thing , it's like hearing them making love... Why didn't you try being friend with that noisy couple and tell them or show them how easily noise can be heard through the walls ? Maybe you could invite them for a meal or barbique at your garned...

hi stringer the girl did not have anything to do with the apt complex, we paid the manager directly. also the couple who were noisy lovemaking were in a different complex. as for me I had no time for making friends as at that time I had an invalid husband and a job so I could keep the rent paid and food on the table. I worked long hours in the library,.as for the kids next door they wanted nothing to do with us at all. we were midddle aged and they were 17 and 19 at that time. this happened a numb er of years b ack as I have been widowed since 1991.Those kids did not care about anyone b ut the two of them. no this came at a very bad time in my life. my hubby was just recovering from cancer of the colowith a colostomy to boot.

So funny but quite embarrassing for the lovers. Well at least, the couple next door helped them learn a lesson not to be too open and be extra careful when they need to do something.

enelym001 yes my husband and I both laughed at hearing that recording. It certainly did get the couple's attention. the woman slammed the window really hard then polled the blinds shut. From then on no more shrieks and assorted grunts and moans,. we all slept a lot better to.

Personally leaving your Blinds open? Come one seriously... That is not very respectful, and what could you expect from something like that? Depending on how warm it is outside leaving a window open is usually only natural. We used to have a couple who lived above us when we lived in the condo, that were noisy, so we could hear the noise thru the walls and it was annoying. We finally had to say something to them as it was hard to sleep and in a lot of ways were Glad when they decided to move.

Hi little Hatley! Oh my gosh, I bet that was so funny to hear though, but I do feel some things should be kept private, and that's one of them. I live in an apartment and I can hear everything, needless to say. This is no sound proof apartment complex and sometimes I feel I'm living in a tenement in New York, lol! People just don't care, nor do they have any consideration for the person above, below, or next door. I'm not just talking about making whoopee either. I don't think making whoopee would bother me as much as loud music, stamping of feet, slamming doors, loud tv's, fighting, throwing things, parties all the time, etc., etc., etc. I wish I could move but the rent is so cheap and they do pay the heat too, but, I guess you get what you pay for. I'm trying to save to buy a car so my move would be costly and higher rent...maybe though, I'll luck out sometime in the summer.

Sadly there are people out there who don't mind the whole world seeing. That's one thing I don't care for is the lack of something intimate being out in the open instead of a private moment behind closed doors. It's like why not wear a big sign on your forehead that says "I'm smiling cause I just got laid" No one cares, everyone does it you just don't tell the world about it. Along the same lines of that there was an apartment we were next to and they'd have parties all hours and you can imagine the noises one could hear thru the walls at all hours even in the bathroom. I used to turn on a bit of ac/dc and turn the speakers against the walls and by the time the side of the tape was done it was quiet!

hi 3SnuggleBunnies I really got awfully tired of b eing a forced audience to their love making. I know it was summer, but they surely could have closed the window and the blinds for the while that they were being intimate. I have also been kept awake by next door drunken parties way into the early morning so we finally called the police. The man at whose apt.the party was being held got really loud and started pushing the lady cop around. bad idea. In two minutes she had backup and three people were arrested for their behavior. It was nice and peaceful the rest of the night.

Since the couple wasn't really saying anything that could be complained about to any authorities I don't see the problem with the recording of their lovemaking sounds. Like you say, it worked to get them to make themselves quieter after that so all is good

hi chicksdigscars yes we also laughed at the time too then later I got to thinking about the legal aspect. What those two kids did next door was not right. I am sure they were too stoned to even think of anything but laughing at them and embarrassing them. After that they did close their windows and shut the blinds before making whoopee lol lol.

Haaa! Yes, it is illegal and she could probably press charges against them, but would they be too embarrassed to? I would. I think they wanted to be heard and seen being so careless... but maybe didn't expect to be taped. I think anyone with decency about them would make sure they are in private before making whoopie.

hi pointlessquestions we laughed too but I got to thinking this was illegal what those two kids did next door. Now I am sure the newly weds knew which apt the tape was coming from so they could have reported them to the police but I think finally they were really embarrassed. Anyway from then on they kept their windows shut and blinds drawn so nobody else could listen in to their lovemaking
