To dream is to live

I strongly believe that dreaming is an important step is setting goals in life. Everyone has at least one dream... whether possible or impossible. That dream, subconsciously, leads to the hope of a better life. Whether the dream involves money, love, family, fame... it is the achievement of a better life than one has currently. I dream quite often... and no you don't have to necessarily be asleep to dream... daydreaming is quite common. My mom always says I have my head in the clouds.. I read a lot to broaden my horizons and my dreams to new heights. There's nothing better than a dream come true and formulating a new dream after you know that it is possible and not just an intangible hope that will never come to pass. What are your views on hopes and dreams MyLotters? Share with me your childhood dream and how it changed when you became an adult.

I don't think I have carried any of my childhood dreams with me except for my love of writing. I have always dreamed of being a writer but life was a bit tough and I haven't been able to concentrate on it the way I would have loved too. I have never stopped loving it though and perhaps one day, I will fulfill it. Other than that, as I have gotten older, my dreams have changed here and there.

That was one of my dreams, too. I love to write... I love literature and linguistics! But, my true dream back then, was to become a very famous violinist and then one day a noted composer with a symphony orchestra of my own. I was quite good a few years ago playing even after high school. But, that was a dream I felt I'd never reach so I didn't even pursue it.... I'm sure I'll have regrets later in life about it.... Thanks for sharing your thoughts!!
