Call center giving away Iphone 4S

I am browsing jobstreet.ph to check for part time jobs and I notice that some call centers are offering Iphone 4S for their potential applicants. Granted, these are subject to terms and conditions but, hey, that phone is worth 40K in Philippine Pesos. It's just that the company was confidential so you really have to apply through jobstreet. I think I will give it a try. Who knows, I may get this awesome phone.
Have you seen this ad? Do you happen to know what call center is this? I hope it's not Convergys. But by the look of it, it seems that it is.

Just beware, like Uncle Ben said: "With great power comes great responsibility." ..this is similar in a way: "With a great offer like that, comes great b*llsh!t".
It could be that the job responsibilities are way above your head, or that the company is going down soon, and they're buying cool phones for people they can bring down with them. It's a cool phone, I'll give you that, but what if the terms and conditions are, you have to stay for 6 months and find out if you'll win the phone. For me, it'll depend if the work load isn't too much. If it is, f*ck it, I can buy my own phone.

that is pretty amazing one, a call center company who are giving away iPhones. as for sure, many applicants will surely pass and submit their resumes to that company. aside from that, due to the high cost of the product, company will surely ask an exchange in return. although the said exchange will not be directly, but, still those company's will ask something in return upon giving away some due to the application made by the applicants.

yeah. A lot of applicants tried and failed but as for me I got the Timex watch. Haha. They surely will ask a lot from those potential employees but not from me because I didn't accept the job offer. I just get the watch and then go. I know, I know, I'm brilliant. LOL!

Not really a trick because Convergys is a reputable call center company,not only here in the Philippines but also outside of the country.They wouldn't risk their reputation for mere watches. But just like any other promotions out there, they have setup terms and conditions to this give away.

No. I do not know what call center is that, but if it is Convergys then, I would say that It is good that they offer Iphone 4S for their potential applicants. Sad to say, I am not one of the many applicants who will receive Iphone 4S. Wa ha ha ha. I knew from the start that I am not one of the lucky applicants who will be hired in the call center even in the Convergys. I will never ever get a job position even in the cheapest call center. Ha ha.

A lot of call centers give away stuff to entice applicants. Just a week ago I declined an offer from Accenture as a Cisco Associate Enginner with a sign in bonus of 40k. The position sounds promising but as the hiring process traversed, it dawned on me that is a call center position. Though I have nothing against being a call center agent, I'm already in the IT industry and I felt that even with the huge salary and sign-in bonus that they're offering me, I wouldn't be growing in technical means.
My boyfriend works in IBM Daksh and they give out Apple products (he's with the Apple tech support account), depending on your performance. Last Christmas, he got an iPod Touch 8GB White. We sold it and bought a PSP instead, since we thought that if he kept on his good performance he'll be able to get another iTouch or maybe an iPad. Who knows. I'm not that into apple products so if he gives one to me I'll just sell it and buy a different gadget. Haha
