In China, there are a lot of special days. People always do special things on thoses days. For example, yesterday has a historical meaning in Chinese lunar year. The Chinese dragon raised its head on that day. So people go to cut their hair wishing to be first in everything. Are there any interest things happened in special days in your countries, mylotters?

I love the stories of China, and their little sayings, here in Australia I guess having a BBQ is about it on special days like Australia Day even some people do on Christmas Day these days...Traditions are so good.

hi tulipa welcome to mylot you are new. china does have a lot of interesting special days. Here in the US we just have Christmas, new Years, valentines day . Easter,Mothers Day in May Fathers Day in June and the best the Fourth of July celebrating the birth of our country the USA. Is this the Year of the Dragon? I saw a gorgeous Chinese Ballet the other day ,a video sent to me by a my lotter. Oh yes MayDay the first of May children will make baskets and fill them with flowers and hang them on the doors of older people to wish a Happy May day first of spring, we always ran off then so the older person would never know who left her the flowers.
