Hi my friends. I share to all that last December 29, 2011, we the grandchildren hosting a grand reunion in Davao City, Philippines. I observe it is a success reunion because almost all of our relatives has come to participate even in abroad. We rent a beach resort in that occasion. We prepare program, foods and drinks are there. How about you how do you celebrate your reunion?

Mostly Christmas and Holy Week is the advisable day for reunion celebration. Our celebration of grand reunion is the birthday of our grandfather. We grandchildren of 67 in counting are present in that occasion, and hosting the said celebration. Our relatives of different places give their own testimony and talents. We met our relatives that on that time we see. Make a conversation and more in that occasion.

Cool. Renting a beach resort sounds AWESOME, I wish I could do that. Most of my relatives live in the same state, but I don't know most of my extended family at all. As in I've never even met my cousins out there and whatnot. They are trying to get me and my dad and my sis to go this year to a family reunion, though.

The first and second year we hosted our family reunion it was a huge success I met family that I didn't even know was related to me! We live out in the boonies and the past couple years we've been hosting it in the park in town but the ones out at the house were better. We hold ours the 3rd saturday on september (usually) and we usaully hold an auction. Where everybody brings something they want to sell that they don't really need. All the money that is made from that goes towards next year for anything and everything food, seating, games, activities, it's usually really fun. We hold games like apple bobbing, washer pitching, we have like a sand box the little kids can have like a treasure hunt in with candy and change. Bad mitton, volleyball, all kinds of funn games! If you ever need any ideas hit me up!!

We have family reunions at important times of the year, for example Christmas or if somebody is having a significant birthday. There are so many people in our family that it seems that we are getting together at least a couple of times each year and I do think that it is nice. We had the last gathering at the end of December 2011 and there were only a few people there but it was still nice to see those people who we didn't always get to see during the rest of the year, and we are due to see some of the other family members just before Easter, which should be nice.

a pleasant day boylopez, we also observed celebrating family reunion. and this move was started by my mom few years ago. that, she wants us her children, her nephew and nieces can meet and get along to each other. since we are just a small family in my mother's side, so she wants us to be close to each other.

We rarely have any reunion with relatives and all except for chinese new year. It's a once in a year thing where all of us would gather together, catch up on happenings. Other than that, it's wedding when all of us are invited. Those are the only occasions we get to see each other, have some fun and laughter. I'm not really close to my relatives and i've missed out on a lot of events they organised. I don't really regret it since i'm not close to them in the first place.

good for you boylopez! :) when i was younger and my grandparents' were alive we used to have family reunions at the ancestral home during Christmas breaks. as much as possible all 9 siblings of my mom with their own family would come to a multi-celebration of Christmas, my parents' wedding anniversary, town fiesta. my mom used to be the Santa for the occasion giving out gifts to my uncles, aunts and cousins. it wasn't a really grand reunion but everyone was able to catch up with what's happening with everyone's life. on the other hand my father's clan is cooking up a grand reunion for all who are descendants of our great-great grandparents this year and i'm looking forward to it. the preparations started a year ago and they have lots in store for our program. i heard there'll be talent contests, awards, and games. this would be the first Grand reunion i'll be attending. yeay!

We seldom celebrate reunions in our family. Most of my Uncle and Auntie's are working in different places. We only had one when I was still in elementary. It was long ago. I miss all those times that we were together, eating and enjoying every moments. I don't now if it will happen again in the future. I have work now and very far from my family. You're so lucky and blessed to celebrate that day with all of your family members. Indeed, our family gives us so much joy in our lives.
