Friends... What are the major major priorities of a beginning entrepreneur? I am one of them though but i need to shoot some important questions and hear from your opinions. Do you think entrepreneurs mind getting profit or would they be after simply getting all their stuff sold to at least get their money back???

I think you misinterpreted the concept of being an entrepreneur. You can't be an entrepreneur simply by stating that you are one. You have to have a handful of experience and actual work in order to prove to the others your entrepreneurship. Calling your self entrepreneur is like telling us that "Hey I am smart.".. Well, no offense, saying it only for the shake of the example, but unless you prove to us that you are smart (or entrepreneur) you can't actually call your self like one. Entrepreneurship is a skill, not an occupation that you can decide to follow.

Actually I do not agree, Entrepreneur is a spirit of adventure into business or creating something new. There are a lot of smart people that are not entrepreneurs because they would not or dare not try, so they would be employee all their lives. Take Henry Ford, he might not be the smartest in his company, but he surround himself with very smart people and uses their talent to help him build at that time the most powerful company in the world.

Henry Ford though had the imagination that a mechanized automated unit is needed in order to create as many as possible cars. The vision was only Ford's!

Entrepreneurs turn their unique business ideas or products into reality. This is what entrepreneurship is all about. The mission is usually to improve the society. But for any business, profit is the ultimate goal. So the entrepreneur must make sure that whatever they sell earns them a good profit.

No problem. It can be quite an exciting thing to be an entrepreneur. Getting a new product introduced to people is a fun job. To some, however, it looks like "oh you are bad if you are expecting big money in return". But what is the use of being in a business if it does not put food on our table? Business is no different from a profession. Both of them earn us a living.

I think that it depends not only on the person but also on the product and the market. Some people are only out for a profit, so if they do not make one in a short amount of time, then they will give up. This is generally not the type of person that succeeds in the long run, though. Of course making a profit is the ultimate goal, but sometimes we have to prove ourselves by getting our products or services out on the market before we can expect to make a profit. Once our product or service is tried and liked, then we can start anticipating repeat business and an expanding market, which is where the profit will come into play.

A pleasant day Graceekwenx, Being an Entrepreneur takes a lot of courage and determination. As you just not only need a money to start it up but also the strong will and prayer power. Hence, there are a lot of temptation will come along the way. Like tempting not to pursue it because of some failures and hindrances. Tempting not to go for it because your fund is always going out instead of having an income. Tempting to divert on another way as the plan does not go according to what you have planned. As in, it really takes a lot of the good traits that I have mentioned above. Plus we should have the prayer power as this is the best power that we should possess.

Being an entrepreneur means you have to have the knowledge of the market you plan to get into, and the drive to be responsible for your time. I know people who call themselves their own boss but does whatever they want with their time, and fail miserably on the business that they set up. A person cannot just go into a business without learning if the idea/merchandise/service have the potential to grow

Hi there graceekwenx, Well relieving your stock of items is great so that you can sell new once and it means your business is fruitful but i think those 2 goes hand in hand if you are profiting that means you are selling your stuff re-leaving you of your old stuff so i guess those two goes hand in hand right???

Right Deo. Coz you see, i am selling clothes (not the usual clothes you see in the bazaars, they really are one of a kind and i am the only one who has them). I have already placed a stall for me (in advance) for the December bazaars in the strategic places here in Manila. My concern is that... i would like to peg the rate high at 50% but i also needed to consider the budget of Juan coz my stuff is jacking up at Jzanelle's. Aarrgh! the government must do something fast to increase the buying power of Juan!

To me having a business means you get your money back and earn a profit. If you only earn your money back, that is really a debt since it will be going back to the business.

entrepreneurship is in my view is a big art and science some learn it while other are born like that. Billgates pic under my profile is an example of one who is born entrepreneur in my view. Earning profit is good approach but if we find our holding is going to stale/expire we must sell it on price and even with small discount so that we must not face all loss. Hare Krishna Ganesh

hi graceekwenx, entrepreneurship is difficult job, before starting it we have to select the place, paying advances ,decorating the room according to our needs, which item we have to sell , what are the formalities to be done with the government ,obtaining necessary licenses, capital working capital, then only we have to wait for customers,it is long process, any way all the best for you

Well anyone of us can be an entrepreneur if we like to. There are may young entrepreneurs budding everywhere. What you need is a lot of determination and passion. You need to research on the business you are interested in. Know all the things or factor in that area and master it. You should also know your market and how to reach out to them. Good luck!

Some people are natural entrepreneurs, other entrepreneurs are forged in the fires of adversity...ie they have had to get creative because they have lost their job or live somewhere that there are no jobs. I think that the best entrepreneurs come up with a creative product or service that helps make other people's lives better (offers them a good deal, value for money) and make their profit at the same time as helping others......(of course there is the shadow side to this, when the entrepreneur becomes involved in criminality to make their profits). So major priority, come up with a product or service that helps people and also makes you a profit...(a big challenge indeed but many people have done this in the past and are doing it now)
