CSK player=place reserved in Indian team.

Its been almost 1 year since India is losing ,they are being thrashed to be precise and we have seen most bizarre selections .I will start with Ojha, he has been most consistent spinner in last two years whether he is playing county cricket , Ranji or while he is playing for India but he not even considered when it comes to selection of spinner overseas.Ashwin who is so called replacement of Bhajji has been consistently poor since first test in Aus, but the so called rotation policy of Dhoni is not applicable on him.Same is the case with Raina, he too has been extremely poor not only in this tour but since the tour of SA last year.Same is the case with Jadeja,he too performs only in subcontinent.There was a rotation policy with seniors to get Rohit a place in the team,but why this rotation policy is not applicable on Jadeja , Ashwin and Raina ,when extremely talented players like Manoj Tiwari and Rahul Sharma are warming the benches.So the new rules of Indian cricket are, either you have to be friend of Dhoni to be in the team or you have to be CSK member and Srikanth along with Mr Srinivasan will ensure that you will keep playing all formats of the game whether you perform or not.This is Indian team or a private firm ? how much more embarrassment we as fans will have to face.

Yes, its a fact that you pointed out.. Dhoni is giving more and more chance to his IPL team members.. Actually IPL was started to find good talents for Indian team.. But Dhoni is using International match to give match practice for CSK team members before the start of IPL.. I cant understand why Dhoni is giving the chance to Raina again and again?? What is so special in him, Admit that he is a good fielder, but that doesn't ensure the spot in Team.Raina should play well with the bat.. This is pathetic situation in Indian team.. I think selectors should look in this seriously.. But unfortunately the selector is also from Tamil Nadu...

Now in Asia cup squad also, Raina was picked and sehwag was dropped, I thought both played in same level.. All the CSK players retained their position in the team.. No one to back sehwag, Dhoni to back Raina.. thats it.. I thought both should have been left out..

Yes and Sehwag has been dropped when its known that he plays well in subcontinent conditions and his record against all three Asian teams that is Bangladesh, Pakistan and Srilanka has been great.Also Tiwary and Rohit are capable of filling the place of Yuvi as both are solid batsman but its most likely that Jadeja ,Ashwin and Raina will play all the matches.Tiwary should play in place of Raina and Rahul should play in place of Jadeja,this is the view of most cricket experts.Asia cup squad looks more like CSK squad.

You are absolutely correct,Raina has been a sitting duck in SA, Eng and now Aus.Still Dhoni keeps giving him chances ahead of Tiwary and Rohit which is quite clearly favoritism.Also when Irfan and Ashwin are playing as all-rounders what is the need to playing Jadeja ? why promising youngster like Rahul is sitting out?If you give unfair advantage to you IPL tea-mates it will demoralize other young players.Thanks a lot for you comment.

Hi grvdubey, I agree that Raina and Jadeja should not be in the team, especially, on foreign pitches. I just can't understand why Jadeja is selected, he neither can bat nor can bowl. Even part time bowlers will do better than him! He must be very lucky. Unless performance oriented selection is followed India can't win abroad. On home pitches most of the players perform and hoodwink fans and selectors.

I agree with both of you. now only i realize this fact why not this rotation policy applicable to raina and jadeja even they are performing worst.

Hi guys, Well if we see current form both Raina and Jadeja have struggled outside subcontinent.Next World cup is in Australia and if Dhoni has made up the mind that both of them will be playing in that tournament then they will have to improve immensely.However on current form they does not deserve place in the team but India will be playing at home or in subcontinent conditions for next two years and both of them are match winners in these conditions,hence poor performances from these two will be forgotten.Same applies on Ashwin.Rohit and Tiwary are solid batsman like Virat but both of them are sitting out ,also Rahul has shown lots of promise, but these three does not have any friend or godfather or any IPL backup hence they wont get enough chances.Thanks a lot for your comments.
