i forgot how enjoyful life around me can be

as i was walking around yesterday running some errands, going grocery shopping and stopping by one of my exes from like 8th grade and was seeing how she was doing and shes doing pretty great she has a kid now and her own family and is getting her life on track now and we sat there watching movies and were catching up on stories with eachother and even though the baby was annoying at some points he was adorable. so after a few hours of hanging out i went back home and was just looking at everything around me, the trees, grass, fields, and businesses, and i thought to myself on how much i forgot life around me can be so enjoyful the whole walk home just felt beautiful and i enjoyed every second of it im thinking of going for another walk later today and enjoy it again(: how about you guys? do you sometimes take a walk just to walk around to watch and enjoy life and things around you? it can be so peaceful and calms me down when i get angry(:

it really is about the little things. I lead a rather simple life. I gave up partying and all years ago and devoted most of my time to working in order to raise my 4 girls. I've had so many people get after me because I don't go out to bars and I don't travel and in their opinion, I lead a boring life. The irony is that I have yet to be bored. 
hel, sometimes I'd love to experience a touch of boredom. You don't have to travel the world or be constantly entertained to have a great and exciting life. I have some great friends and 4 wonderful daughters and 3 grandchildren, a job that I love that puts me in contact with many people from all walks of life....Life is good. People need to not only cherish the good in their lives...they need to NOTICE it and just deal with the bad. Life would suck without the bad..as much as we wish it wouldn't...it really would. Great discussion...smell those roses and the weeds too!

Hi there,
Glad to hear that you are not worried that smelling flowers or enjoying any of these simple things in any way compromises your manhood because it doesn't. In fact, most women find it sexy and endearing. I dated a guy that was so into flowers that he should have had a job in that field. `He would pick wild flowers and arrange them for me...amazing. I used to catch him in the grocery store just picking up a single rose just to smell it..He was so far from feminine...it was just cool. Don't change.

Oh..just got to add...that little saying "smell the roses" means to appreciate all the little things...the beauty in the snow...the moon, stars...the smile on a child's face....everything that's real. touch the moss in the woods...use all of your senses and emotion.

i will start smelling roses when it comes around the time when they start growing even though im a man doesnt mean i can enjoy the smallest part of life of smelling roses.

The rush in the lives of people nowadays is the main reason behind the unhappiness and unhealthiness. because of our work we forget about enjoying most subtle and small things in our lives with our family and friends. Neglecting these enticing moments with your loved ones becomes a reason of your unfruitful future. Thus, we should enjoy very small things that happen in our daily life.

Realising just how wonderful the countryside can be is one of the most rewarding things that we can possibly realise, and I go through something similar to this every summer when the sun starts to shine and I am able to sit in my garden and enjoy all of the flowers and birds that are out there. We should never forget just how lucky we are to live in a place with such lovely things outside, as there are many people in the city who don't have the chance to experience things like that, and would probably give anything to live just one day the way we live it.

yeah i kind of live in they country part of the town just on the outside of it and i live between 2 towns but the walks are amazing when i get to see fields and horses and cows and everything else

I wish I have the time to walk around my neighborhood. I'm so busy all day with my children, housework and working online, I hardly have time to really look at how beautiful the world outside is. I should do what you did and refresh my mind and perspective.

well maybe one day out of a week on like a sunday you should try to go out and walk for an hour with the children or maybe less then an hour but just like pay attention the the small enjoyful things of life.

I really like walking especially when I am beside the Manila Bay in Mall of Asia. Because it has a beauty of ambiance over there.

i think as we get caught up on the things going on around us we forget to appriciate the simpler things around us like a cat playing, a baby smiling or a flower with a bee on it.
well done on starting a discussion that makes us stop and think about the many good things that we sometimes overlook or fail to notice.

yeah i know right i've been paying so much attention to most of the drama and stuff around me but after that walk and seeing that adorable baby i just remembered how enjoyful life can be because of the small things.
