You should NOT open any links in emails unless you know exactly what they are and can trust the sender. I am not sure where this message comes from but I haven't seen it on my Gmail account. I would be inclined to ignore it. If you have OPENED Gmail in the first place, surely you are already USING Gmail, aren't you?

I didn't have that on my gmail account. I'm not exactly sure what it is referring to. Unless it is asking you if you want to let gmail import all the emails from any other email accounts you may have. Many of these email companies are offering this service but the way I see that is if I wanted all my emails to come to one address I would only have one email account.

That is good advice yanzalong, I would also add that sometimes senders that we know and trust will sometimes accidentally pass on a link that will do mischief to our computer. So we need to always be vigilant.

Never trust any links that appear in your inbox unless you know the sender for sure. It might be a virus that asks you to let it spread in your pc.

Hi ravisivan, I did receive such alert when I check my mailbox few days back. For the sake of safety not to get spam easily it's certainly that I won't allow gmail to open all email links. Maybe it would be safe but I won't get thing go hurry to avoid any undesirable risk Happy posting

I don't use gmail, so this is something that I've not ever seen. However, even if it was an option that I would see offered by my email provider, this would not be something that I would do. The reason that I wouldn't do that is because of the fact that there are a lot of hackers that will attack their targets through links in emails that are sent to various people. I definitely don't want to infect my own computer and I don't want to put the computers of my friends and family members computers at risk either.

Hello ravisivan: I had seen no such message in my gmail account which I use quite regularly. Even then I opened again after reading your post. In fact I opened multiple mails in my inbox. There's no message. The message probably refers to the links contained in the emails in your inbox [or other folders]. Since gmail is equipped with a very strong anti spam protection, I guess it may have assessed that some mails in your folders might contain harmful links and hence requiring a confirmation from you if you attempt opening them. As someone has indicated before my comment, we must open a link [not only in gmail but anywhere else too] only when we are sure it is not malicious. I think I may not have provided the right solution you were looking for because I have no exposure to the problem in my account.
