Thanks to the spread of TV, computer and Internet. Now people can get what they want from media easier than 30 years before. And that makes distance education become possible for us now. To me, I think distance education is a good way to receive education, for I can use my spare time in home to learn something online. There is no need for me to seek schools and classes. And in many cases, online education is free which help me save a lot. But to some other people, they do not like distance education. They think distance education is still different from class education, you will be lack of chanced to share you ideas with your students and teachers, and the atomsphere in home is not suitable for study. And if you have some questions, you may not have someone to ask. It is really true in some degree. To me, classmates are great fortune in my life, and distance education can not get me to get this. And distance education may lack of courseware and some information for you know the course well. While coming to study problems in distance education, I think it is a good way to force you solve problems by yourself which is a very important skill you should own in your life.

I am getting my first Masters in Education this April. I will then obtain a second Masters degree in either Psychology or Special Education. I love learning online because I am able to work online any time of day and if I have to go out of town I can work on my school work before hand. I attend Walden University and love the small classes as well as the fact that we can ask each other questions and also we post blogs.

For some it is a great way to get an education. I know High School Students who were failing in traditional schools but in the On Line schools they are being successful. College is another great example of how you can get your education on line. It least you do it at your pace and your time schedule.

Online learning gives people a way to get education. Ten years ago, if a person can not get into the college, it would be hard for him/her to get a higher education , but now he/she can make it. I think that helps many people to have a chance to improve themselves and get more chance to get a good payment or improvement for their career.

Preferring to get additional degrees for self growth, distance education offers the best choice. You learn things at your spare time, at your own convenience and ultimately sit for the final examination and get yourself awarded the required degree. It has quite a lot of conveniences attached wit it.

I do not want to learn for a degree, but I want to learn something new by myself. In my college, there are few interesting majors, and even in my country, I can hardly to find interesting subjects. To learn more, I have to depend on the Internet to help me to find resources. But it really helps to to save time and energy to learn it in the class, for I do not need to go out of my room and pay any fee for the class.

I have heard about that before. Distance learning either through correspondence (by mail) or through the Internet. I thought such kind of education teaches only vocational courses such as technical trainings. But courses with Bachelor's Degree? Something like a college degree. Are they available?

There are many ways to educate yourself. Internet is a good one. It's proved that kids who are home educated (isn't that ironic since the parents/mostly the mother is not an educated teacher) know way more as kids who go to school. It's also proved that you learn a lot of "garbish" at school. There are also many people (adults) who follow home education/a course, all kinds of. It all depends on you/the person if you are able to educate yourself or not. Life and it's experiences is a way to educate yourself as well. Just keep your eyes and mind open for what you see, hear, observe, wonder, ask, search, invest and don't believe every first word people tell you.

To people who can educate themselves, online learning will become their favorite way to receive education for they can arrange their learning schedule for themselves. To those who can not focus their attention in a classroom, online learning may be not so interesting. When they meet problems in learning while find no one to ask, it is easy for them to give up.

Two years ago I studied psychology online. I didn't finish my studies. because I was too busy with work and I didn't have enough time to study as well, but I am going to start again one day when I have more free time. I think that there were many advantages about online studies. At that time I lived in a village in the countryside and it would have been expensive and time-consuming to commute every day, so I was very happy that I was able to study from my home instead. I also had a lot of freedom that way, of course there were assignments and other things that I had to finish, but I still had a lot of freedom and I was able to plan my days the way that I wanted. Sometimes I missed the face-to-face interaction with other students and teachers. We had a discussion board where my classmates and I were able to communicate, but there wasn't much activity. I did exchange messages with some of the other students but I still missed face-to-face interaction sometimes.

In my case if I still have a chance to be younger and going to school then I would rather want to have distance education for me to concentrate and understand the lesson more and more. I wasn't able to enjoy my school life wherein I was totally pressured. I really feel that what I have today was just a degree and diploma.

Distance education may seem unnatural for some but for me, it is a great opportunity of taking further studies without leaving sacrificing work and family time. It is, however, quite challenging considering time management is of the essence. The effort that I put into distance learning is comparable to if not more than that of traditional schooling. Discipline is a must for anyone who opts for distance education.

Hi I don't know much about distance education as I have no personal experience and none of my friend have it too. But still whatever I have read and hear about it,from that I can say that it is great feature. For whatever the reason if any student can't reach to institute still they can learn from distance education. And with that they can also do part time job or any extra work with studies..
