It's weekend again and my Internet connection is experiencing bad again. I just observe it few weeks ago that when weekends is approaching I do experience a slow connection. I tried to report it on my provider and they will do some action. After that it will be better on weekdays. Do you experience same problems like me? I'm planning to change my provider on my next subscription but It will cost more higher than my previous provider. Any suggestion you may recommend?

Are you using broadband or other connections like DSL. I have both DSL and broadband but I rarely use my broadband since I find that it is very hard to stay connected for a long period. My DSL is perfect and never goes down.

I highly recommended the DSL. There is a package: buy 1 take 1 ( aside from DSL line - they will also install landline). Disadvantage: you can't bring it anywhere- It's not portable though.:(

I believe there is a whole lot more traffic on the internet during the weekends. That's when many people have more time to spend on there. I know that there have been times when I was getting messages on my screen telling me that things were slower because of the high traffic at a certain time of the day. Have you tried going to one of the cleaning and scanning sites where you can get your internet cleaned for free.

Also, as learn2earn mentioned, I used to try to use the internet where my daughter used to live. I was there most of the time. I had a very bad signal there and it took ages for my sites to go from one to another. There was nothing the provider could do about it, but I feel they should have informed me that the signal would be very bad indeed. There are other providers who can give you better signals in the same area.

This means that more and more users are online using the same provider. I think the provider should add more space. The bigger the space, the quicker the connection will be.

Maybe because when it's weekends a lot of people uses the internet because it is their day offs and students too don't have classes. And when in weekdays only few uses the internet thus, speeding your connection. Probably, if you want to have a better connection you should upgrade it.

yes friend you are right on weekends all the people are free and mostly spend their time on internet and that is the main reason the speed of our internet connection was getting slow and it also happens to me and i also thought to buy a fast speed internet plan.

It's slow cause if you liken it to a pie, the more people slice it the smaller the share of each and everyone while the pie does not increase in size. It's also like tap water, the more people using the lesser the supply and pressure such as what we experience during special holidays

I am also having the same problem sometimes. Probably because most of the people are just at their houses on weekends and logged onto the internet. Most of the time I have that problem on a Sunday. I did report it to my provider but nothing has changed. Sometimes I just turn off my modem and router, leave it off for a couple of minutes then turn it back on. It does help, sometimes. You can try that or I suggest you upgrade your speed. It may not be the provider that is causing the issue but the amount of internet traffic coming in on weekends.

if there is a regularity in the disruption in the internet connection, then you have to change your service provider. of course, since you are a payig subscriber, you deserve a better service than what you are getting. for me, the cost becomes secondary as long as i will have an uninterrupted internet connection.

A few months ago I had some issues with my IP. Everyday at a certain time, no connection! I was furious because it was always the time that I wanted to be online. Finally they came out and replaced my wiring. Still didn't work. It ended up being an area thing and they had to replace wires throughout the neighborhood. Water was in them. I thought it was the amount of people on there at the same time at first. I like my IP provider but for a while I was ready to change too. I am not sure who you have in your area or what kind of service you are looking for but if I was going to pay alot anyway..I might check in to a satellite provider. You would have it anywhere then...depending on the cost differences of course.

good day lynboobsy11, i could just imagine how upset you are with the internet provider that you have. as you are experiencing a bad signal with the provider that you have. perhaps, the provider are also experiencing a lot of complains with the service that they are providing especially during weekends, that a lot of users are availing the service. with reference to your query as to change your service provider, perhaps, try to give them a chance by upgrading the MBPS rather than changing the whole package and the provider itself.

In all weekend i saw the Same problem i am using only mobile Gprs. It's quit more tough to open pages, it takes more then 3min to open a page. I am so depressed in those days, soon i am going to buy 3G stick. But no one will replace this problem because of the Crowedy Weekends of the Internet. When the internet population down then only it's comes to an End.

As of the moment, my internet is working good. However, earlier I am having troubles with it. Also, I noticed that it is quite unstable during night time. My hunch is that a lot of users are online and connected during night time as they already arrived form work or other activities of the day. But my brother use to say that those disconnections and slow internet can also be caused by damaged cables and telephone lines. Sometimes, the phone line is short circuited. But he admits that most of the time, the server is busy due to too much load of users trying to connect simultaneously.

I had this problem twice last month (February) - first it was almost a week (6 days) and after a day that it was fixed, it stopped working again for 2 days. We have thought about changing ISP but we thought about the hassle for us, and we heard that some other ISPs may have the same troubles too.
