http://news.yahoo.com/man-sues-google-over-street-view-urination-photo-094403555.html A man in France was working in his own garden when Nature called & he needed to pee. For reasons known only to him, he decided to go there in his garden instead of going to the bathroom in his house. Well, while whizzing in his own yard, a Google Street-view Mobile Vehicle drove by & snapped a pic showing him whizzing in his garden. The town he lives in is a very small village in France where everybody knows everybody else & before he even knew the pic had been taken, everybody was laughing behind his back. Then he learned what was so funny & he was NOT amused!!! Now, he is suing Google for his embarrassment. I know it would be embarrassing to have a pic of yourself doing your own private business in your own yard; but, should you not supposed to be doing such stuff in private??? With Google being such a large company, I would think they could afford the finest lawyers & probably already have them on staff. What would your reaction be if Google recorded you in your own yard taking care of a private matter???

I think there is a law against taking pictures of people without their consent. I would orobably sue too. It's my property. Or belongs to me and no one else. If I couldn't make it inside I would let it go outside. I've done it a few times myself! No one saw me. I wasn't so close to the road.

I can understand where you are coming from about it being a private matter that should be done in private. However, it was his own garden, which should be private ... it is not like he was doing it in a parking lot or something. Also, there are certain conditions, such as prostate problems, that keep people from being able to control where they do it. Many people with these problems wear protective undergarments in public, but I would suspect that these undergarments are not very comfortable and I would also suspect that many do not wear them in the privacy of their own house or yard. Therefore, the man could have been faced with the choice of peeing in the garden or peeing in his pants, and personally, I would choose the former and would not expect my picture to be taken while I was doing it.

My dears, the country is France, where nobody needs to be embarrassed by this. Public pissoirs are often visible from elsewhere in the street. Nevertheless, I hope he gets a good payout - it's a good wheeze.
