Is it sensible to allow pets to enter into the home...

May be I feel it depends how well one maintain the house and a pet. But I could see there are some do even sleep with their pet dogs on the same bed. Once I had read news that a tiger was kept inside the house as a pet. I do like my parrots to keep inside my house and at times doggies to enter into our house. But we do not allow them into our kitchen. May be the role of affection and caring do not have any limits.

i know pets are so lovable when we show to them our love also. we need only to train them to become polite and responsible pets. i will allow my dog to sleep beside me when my dog is clean and smell good. thats the only thing that i want for my dog. cleanliness.

I keep my tropical fish in doors except maybe during part of the warm weather where I can put them in a large tub (20 plus gallons of water) near the house where no preditor can get to them. I find that leaving them where they can get real sun lighlt, it will make their coors really come out and they are better looking than in the best color pictures that you see in the good magazines. I just bought this house and there is a large deck in the fenced in back yard where I will probably have two or three tubs with small water lillies or lotus and some fish that will hopefull breed in them. I hope to put in a goldfish pond in the future where the fish will live in it year round. They will be pets but not come into the house except maybe during the coldest part of the year and then only maybe.

I think so, too. It depends on how much a person cares for their pet. Like with kissing a dog, my cousin kisses a puppy but I would never do that even if the puppy is so clean. I just can't imagine myself kissing a puppy's mouth. I won't even let a dog sleep in the bed even if the dog is clean without any tick. I can let a dog inside our house but not my room.

Puppies are nice to see...but I feel kissing would rise to health problems...

of course it is. apart from large pets like horses, that can't be kept in the home, I can't see the point of having pets if you're not going to share your home with them. they're part of the family after all. I wouldn't dream of keeping my pets outside.

My little dogs are in the house all the time. If I let them out, I have to worry about hawks and owls getting them. I have had larger dogs that I kept outside for the most part. I didn't let them sleep with me like I do the ones I have now. I still let the larger dogs in from time to time...especially when the weather was going to be bad. I think there are some pets that are happier outside but my little dogs wouldn't be..lol.

I have a chihuahua in my house who sits on me all evening and sleeps with me every night. I have a cat who stays in when she wants. She lays across my neck when she chooses to. I have a brother who will not allow an animal of any kind in his house, but he is a neat freak. He stays mad at his daughter and doesn't like to go to her city and spend the night cause she has 2 big dogs in the house. He stays angry at her about it cause when she had one he told her he was not gonna spend the night and she go another. Everyone in my family other than him have always had a dog or cat or bird or something in the house. Some people who have animals in the house are not real clean and some are ocd about cleaning and still allow animals in their houses. My daughter is ocd and has her persian cat hair cut about once every 2 months because of the hair that starts getting in the house. So, if there's a will, there's a way for animal lovers.

My husband and I have many pets and they all live in our house. I wouldn't like to have pets that weren't allowed to enter the house because they are a part of the family. On the other hand our pets are not allowed to do whatever they want. We have some rules about the things that they are allowed to do and not allowed to do. When there is food on the table we don't want them in the kitchen and they are not allowed to sleep in our bed. Our dog sleeps in our bedroom next to the bed (on the floor) and out cat sleeps in the window.

I wont allow my dogs to sleep on the bed with me, but they do sleep on my sofa. I bought a sofa cover just for that reason so that they can lay besides me while I watch TV. Now when it's time to go to bed they go to their own bed which is a very comfortable dog bed that I bought for them at PetSmart. They are both happy & content LOL
