Peanut brittle is one of the trademarks of Baguio. Whenever someone goes there, this is always present in the list of stuffs they brought home together with the starberry jam/preserves. I guess because it is affordable (3 pieces for only 100 pesos).

Strawberry jams are too sweet. This is somehow weird, eat peanut brittle together with steaming-hot rice. Taste good though.

Thanks for reminding me that. hahaha... I miss eating peanut brittle especially the branded one named Romana's. I can eat a whole medium sized container in just one eating. It is so sweet and delicious that I couldn't stop eating even my teeth hurts already. hahaha...

Oh your discussion made me crave for that Romana's peanut brittle. We don't have that here in Bicol. But we also have a pilinut brittle here and i tell you that it's more delicious than peanut brittle my friends.

hi! it's been a while since i got to enjoy peanut brittle while in baguio, since it's one of the delicacies we usually buy and bring from our local travels. and my last trip to baguio was september of last year, and i didn't have any at the time. missed out some, i guess. ohh thinking about sweets just made me crave for something sweet after dinner. perhaps kisses with almonds will have to do, i just hope there's some left. have a great evening ahead also.

in the Southern Philippine, there is a variant of peanut brittle they call " bandi" and it even has a coconut version instead of peanuts but I would agree that the Northern (Baguio) version is better. it's really better, thinner and like a taste of butter and the sugar is like more caramelized and transparent. um...., Bicol province also has a pili nut version like a candy, tasted that?

Indeed, there are lots of variety of it with their own unique taste. I like also eating pili nuts especially the sweetness and crunchiness of it.
