Are there any places to sell your photopraphs or paintings?

I was wondering where artists and craft people sell there items. I know of Esty and Zazzle and Fine Art America and Red Bubble are there anywhere else I post or sell my items... I do not want to Ebay there fees are way to high. How has the market been to you with economy being so poor... or do you beleive it is too saturated to even try... Any tips when talking a picture of a oil painting, or water color or drawing done in pastel or sketch... should I use a satin finish to protect the art work on the watercolor or sketch and pastel etc...
