For around a year I was not able to check on my yahoo mail. When I came back I had a hard time logging in but my daughter helped me and I was able to check on my yahoo mail. The next time however I can n longer log again and according to my daughter, my account was hacked and I have to make a new email. I just feel sad all my friends email ads indicated there how can I contact them when some of the websites we're members are no longer existing. Does this happen to you too or just mine.

after several warnings of incorrect password, I was able to logged in.
Are you sure that you weren't mistyping things there? Because this is not thing that will happen when your account being hacked.
But, well, now that you were able to logged in, I am happy to hear that.

That is sad to know.first and foremost how would your daughter know that your email was hacked?Are there any prompt messages when your daughter tried to log in your email?The only instance that your email will get hacked is that if you happen to have an enemy online or you are an active chatter at yahoo messenger.Try logging in again update your password and security questions.Sometimes you will have a hard time opening your yahoo account if there is so much email in your inbox remeber to check your emails regularly to avoid locking of your yahoo account ;

Nope, some people just love to steal someone else's account information even they don't know that person personally..

Its really wonder that most yahoo users have this problem and it is because of server perhaps. The yahoo administrator might be modify the yahoo and in process to upgrade, tats the why.

I have not experienced this before. But next time, you should protect your mail with strong passwords. I strongly suggest adding numbers or capital letters in your password to make it stronger. But when you do not log in to your mail for a long period of time, normally yahoo will freeze this account. You just have to reactivate it again just like what your daughter did. happy mylotting.
