I just had my haircut!

Our hair they say is our crowning glory. We can have different looks by having different hairstyles. Long, short, curly, wavy hair...
I used to have a long hair for how many years. But living in a hot country makes my hair so dry. Well, that maybe because I am exposed in too much sun and air even with a hat. You see, I drive a motorcycle daily because I do field works. Eventhough I have a regular hair treatments and use hair conditioner, my hair is still dry and dull especially now that summer here in my country is starting. So just a day ago, I decided to have it cut in a local salon! At first, I am sad about it. I felt that they cut it too short. Or maybe I was sad because I had my long hair for how many years. But just today, I came to like it! My headache was almost gone and I feel more beautiful having a new hairstyle and new look. Hehehe.

so do you like the new look, i bet it looks great as in the pic you have beautiful hair, i dont get mine cut very often becasue i usualy get it cut tooo short and end up hating it.. so now when i go abour once a month i always get it washed as i love tha feeling of being papmered and then now i only get about an inch cut off as my hair is very hard to grow back and very slow.. growing.. it is also very thich and unrulely, and trys to kink up on me and its not curly at all, just gets lots of tangles in it for some reason tangles reallly easy.. i live i walking distance of my hair stylist, i found a lady i like there that does a good job and i use her..

My hair is VERY thick and curly. I used to have it long (down to my waist) but was told if I got it cut it wouldn't fall out as much. I shed more than my cats do! I should be bald the way it is always falling out. Getting it cut shorter didn't seem to help that, but I was getting older and would have cut it anyway. It still isn't short, it is down to my sholders, and when it gets hot, I put it up in a ponytail or pin it up.

I did have it cut a little bit, but it is still a little long. I don't want it too short, because I don't like my ears, and don't want them to show. I have heard of people that don't want to cut their hair because of religious reasons. I think it is mostly Amish and Mormon, but I am not sure. I am Catholic, and it isn't an issue for me.

I don't know what religion is it either. But they do have two churc here in my town. The girls never wore pants and NEVER cut their hairs. Most of them have very long rhin hair up to toes! Ofcourse they tie it but you still can tell.

Why didn't you have it cut? Is it because of religion? I know people who is into this religion that doesn't require to have their hair cut.I don't know why.

That's great..I don't know if the philippines has this option, but my daughter also had long hair just over a year ago and when she got hers cut, she donated it. By donating her hair, it can be turned into a wig for people who lose their hair due to medical treatments, and this makes the patient feel better about themselves. So, does your country offer this?

Yes,some cities here in our countries have this where you can donate your long hair to make wigs for cancer patients. I live in a far from city rural area and we don't have it here in our area. :(

I am waiting for my hair to grow as I love to have my hair cut, change colour and style it differently once in a while, when I can do it. As it is, now I´m stuck for a while yet with my white hair and my big ears that show

I just bought a casting. It´s the dye the dermatologist recommended while my skin is so delicate. Chemo sorts of eats skin, including hair
. I´ll dye it tomorrow to see how it looks (it can´t get worse), but if I don´t like it I can wear my hats and scarves a while longer. My hair is still less than 1 inch long.

I cut my hair today. My hair was in the middle of the back and I cut it to my shoulders. I now live in Nevada and it gets hot in the summer and it has been a long time since I had shorter hair. I wanted to cut it now so I can get used to it. After this I will be letting it grow long. I know how bad the sun is for my hair. Randy likes my new do. I had him drop me off while he went to run a couple of errands and when he came back I still was not done. He waited for me and was so surprised that I cut my hair short.

hi there,
i have been having long hair too for how many years but last year, i decided to cut it really short for a change. i was happy at first but later on, i missed my long hair. but my hair is getting longer now and i am loving it. i have brown straight hair naturally.
what i do to take care of my hair is i don't shampoo it everyday especially when i am just at home because shampoos wash away our hair's natural oil and so it gets dry and frizzy and gets split ends too. and also what i do is i don't comb my hair especially when it is wet because then my hair would break. but since you go out every day, you do need to shampoo everyday. just keep using your conditioner so it doesn't dry.
enjoy your new hairstyle. it does feel lite after getting a haircut especially if you had a very long hair before.

Hello. Thanks for your response. I don't regularly use shampoo too. Hair conditioner is what I use. I am loving my short hair especially this summer. :) I will no longer have my regular hair treatments too..

congratulations!!! Ive also had such long hair eversince and i've always loved it being long. but when i was about to graduate college, i wanted it to be short when the ceremony takes place. i remember going into a salon for a hair cut. i have described the style and length i really wanted and apparently, the stylist didnt agree and didnt cut the way i wanted. she reasoned with me and defended my long hair. so i went out and found myself inside another salon for the cut i really wanted LOL

For me, I had a long hair just four years ago after having three kids. Most hair stylist do our hair the way they wanted it. Good thing I like my haircut or else, I forever hate her. LOLz. She is just across our street and I almost see her from time to time daily.. Thanks for your response! :)

It has been a long time since I've had the opportunity to have my hair cut, but it is something that I really am looking forward to because my hair has gotten a lot longer since the last time that I had it cut. I personally would like to go short again like I had it when my daughter was little.
The reason that I like to have shorter hair is because of the fact that it is cooler and also because I think it looks more stylish that way.

It's good to have a hair cut once in a while. I also just had my hair cut last Sunday. It felt really weird at first but now I'm liking it. I can see that it is more alive and healthy looking.

It's nice make hair changes even once in while.
I dye my hair every five months whenever I get
bored of it. I used to be tempted to cut my hair
shorter but now I am liking and loving my long hair!

I got 6 inches cut off my hair right before i graduated high school i liked it but i missed my long hair at the same time i got it cut one other time pretty short since then but now im letting it grow back.
