Is it really the end of the world?

For the past couple of years we've been experiencing different kinds of natural calamities. Things that were not prepared of and expecting. We've been through with tsunami, earthquake, typhoons, great floods, huge fire and all of these injured or even kill hundreds or worst thousands of people. These happenings makes every man worried and wonder. Is it really true that the end is coming and that these are all signs? If it's true then why should we be afraid? Aren't we ready yet to leave this earth? Or are there things that we still want to do? So when are we be ready? This earth is not ours we are all passers by here. Let's just be thankful that we once live and enjoyed life. Maybe the saying is true that we must live life to the fullest and not in a foolish way.
On a lighter note, why be afraid of the end the world? Personally, i am more afraid of the end of the month coz i'll be expecting my monthly bills. Guys, chill out! Let"s just pray that if it happens it would not hurt that much and maybe it will be postponed again

For me, I don't really care if it's the end of the world or not..It will just drive me crazy. I'd rather pay attention to every single day that I live and try to make the best out of it...Ride a roller coaster which I'm very scared of. Try zip lines. Go to places I've never been. Make someone happy. Hug a friend and so on..There are more million beautiful things to do to preoccupy your mind with the thought of end of the world. It's a waste of time. Anyway, if it's the end of the world, really, I'll be happy, because I want to meet God. I'm very curious and excited to see him and spend eternity in heaven. (if I was good enough to enter His kingdom.)

I don't believe that this is the end of the world, because when the end of the world is just God who know it. How much modern technology we have to predict that, God still greater, and God have plan that never we gonna know or understand. I agree with you maybe we should just pray to ask the best to God...,

for what we think about the last day or end of the world, our life in this world did not anyone know how long. maybe now we can still surf, but tomorrow we may have been in the grave,no one knows except god

Do you know what the end of the world looks like? Do you know the mechanism of earth destruction in which nothing can survive? Tsunami, mount eruption, earthquake, wars, and so on will not bring this planet come to an end ! Read Al Mulk Surah 67 verse 16 -17. These two verses explain how this planet approach its end.

Honestly, when i hear about all those calamities, i feel afraid too. It's just but natural to feel that way.
But i don't let it scare me no end. I take life as it rolls and prepare for any eventuality of those calamities.
Most of all i find solace and comfort and strength from God, who made this earth and given the life we have now.

Hopefully it will be postponed, lol. I heard that the world is not coming to an end, it's just changing dimensions. I don't really know how to understand that, though.
Yes, the signs are alarming, and among the increasing number of disasters there are man made catastrophes too.
It's good to be prepared, but I don't want to live in fear of something that I don't know how is going to happen if it will happen at all.

Hi Judilla, I personally like your question coz I have good answers for you.
First, the world (if you are referring to the physical earth where we live) will never end. It will remain forever because this is OUR home. We are created to live on earth from the very beginning of our lives.
Second, the end of the world simply means the end of the bad or wicked ones. They will be uprooted like weeds. Just like when we clean our house, we do not burn it and we only take away the dirt right? Thus, only the wicked ones will be removed from the earth.
Third, the disasters that are occuring now are part of the signs of last days. Believe it or not this is really true and it will come as a thief.
There is nothing to be afraid of when it comes to the last days coz God will save His people but we should really be afraid if we are not on the side of God. Of course just believing that there is God is not enough.
Just want to share what I know about this and it is based on my faith. I am not trying to convince you or anyone here. For I know that it is not easy to trust a person if you do not know him well. The Bible tells us these events are part of the last days. The Bible is the word of God. If we truly know and trust Him we will also trust all that is written in His book the Bible.

i wonder about that too, you are definitely not alone. a lot of them say its just crap that 2012 will be the end of the world. yes, maybe it is, maybe it isnt.
but i'm very sure that if humanity keeps this up, then the end of the world may be near.
and after watching the movie "2012" i told myself that i should enjoy life more and treasure my loved once more.
and i also cant believe that after watching the movie, i actually started to recycle, reuse and reduce more :)
