Is there something better than love?

Because I just don't find it.
Hi Mylot friends:
And I am not talking about the love you have for your husband/wife, boyfriend/girlfriend but about love in general. I think there's no person, no matter how evil he/she is that you can say that has never love at all. At least his/her parents or if this person is not able to love other human beings at least an animal and in the worst case, at least he/she love him/herself.
Love is the energy of the universe I think. We are all looking for love and acceptance. When we get born we receive the love from our mother, our father or the people that has taken care of us and wanted that we were happy.
As we get older we meet people and we find love in many ways, the people that guide us to be good, our friends and companions, people who inspire us, our first romantic love etc.
Some people who are lucky to find the love of their lives and have children discover probably one of the most beautiful kind of loves in human nature, the love you have for your own son or daughter.
In my religion, we believe that God is love. And even if you are not a religious person, you can find love everywhere.
No matter how bad things could be, there's always love between all the evil, dark things that exist in the world.
And I thank God for giving us the ability to love and be loved.
So once again. Is there something better than love? Cause I don't find it.

I agree with you. There are a lot of people who loved very much in our life time, which we never counted or considred. Though it is not spelt as LOVE, the essence of love have poured on us tremendously at times. Of course, we never demanded, or requested, but they, the all suffering mother (everyone's) have spondaneously given to us. We need to consider it and certainly the mother's like love from our dear and never ones are alwyas given us.
Yes, exceptions also are part of the life and we must have touched about the exceptions, but still it is painful when we learn that the meaning of love is diluted with evil thoughts.

Hi thanks: Exactly, but in general we can find love everywhere in the people that has touch our lives in a positive way, that want that we overcome our problems, that we keep going on no matter the problems, the people that care for ourselves in an honest way. It can be a mother, a father, a grandfather, grandmother, brother, sisters, your family, friends or just a person that has appeared to give you an advice in the right moment.

I don't think there is anything better than being love and having someone love me in return. Love is a special treasure that cannot be matched. I think too often people take love for granted and don't honor or treasure it as much as it should be. The feeling is tossed around too much before people really know what it means. Love is an amazing thing that comes in different forms and degrees. You could love someone a little or with all your heart. I love the feeling of being in love and having that love returned.

Hi soulist: It happens very often. People forgot that love is a feeling you have to build and fight for day after day. By taking love for granted people put their love in risk 
. It's also sad when people sacrifice their love for other things with little value. Thanks for your answer.

However, I think that love makes part of what I call my internal peace and my happiness. I feel happy because I feel loved in so different ways and I feel peace because of my emotional state. Isn't it?

Yes the love you feel for yourself, the love care you give yourself is way better. Without that you are lost. Especially if you are a woman.
Also if you expect others to love you, make you happy you will find out sooner or later this is a lost case. Esp. if you don't love yourself. Something most people forget.
Also freedom is better. If I have to choose I take the freedom (I do love myself) above the love from a partner. Why? Because I am born alone, will die alone, I am always with me, I am the one I can always count on and I need to be free.

I strongly disagree. There are Many people who never get to experience love of Any sort. Some were given away at birth, never have friends or fall in love. As for children?Some parents don't connect to their children.
But I do agre if you are lucky , you get to be loved in this life.I will Never feel " The Greatest Love" because I refuse to have kids. So I guess to you I will Never be loved the way I'm suppose to , right? I'm evil for not wanting kids , right?

Aah, I have no urge to ever have children either, so we're in the same boat. There's nothing wrong with that at all. Love comes in many forms, and in different strengths.

I also believe that God is love and that love is not all about loving our loved ones, or anybody else, our pets,but the least ourselves. I am not into any kind of special relationship as love always hurts me and I am not lucky when it comes to this, but, I do love my family, friends and yes, myself.
I find love in different ways, mysterious, odd and whatelse...Love is a language spoken without using a single word.

I guess love is everything and nothing is better than love. If we don't have love, life is meaningless. We continue living because of the people we care for. We are not in this world because of our selves but because of the people we love. They are our strength and make our life worthwhile.
