Everybody has different body clocks and different times when their brains are more active. I have worked the late night shift for 10 years now and my body is adjusted to those hours, so my brain is more active in the late night/early morning hours. That is why most of the time that I am on mylot is during those times. Later in the day my mind is not as fast or active.

Me too. My brain is at its most active in the early hours of the morning, like 4am to 7am. My mind seems to be sharper, more alert, and smarter. At high school, it was effective for me study after waking up at around 4am.

Yes, in the afternoon it's so hard to focus because I get sleepy. Same at night. I rarely study at night because it makes me feel sleepy.

It tends to really depend a lot of the time. There are times where my brain can be extremely active during the early parts of the day. Where it is just bubbling with creativity, where I cannot really wait to get it out. It is rather just something where the ideas are almost leaping out of my head faster than I can type them. Then during the middle of the day, I undergo a rather prominent creative drought where nothing is coming in my mind.
Then it returns at night. It does tend to happen like this most days, but I guess that is my brain's way of telling me that it needs a break and not to really force the issue. I think that there are times where I am always formulating ideas right in the back of my head. It is just ideas that will not be pushed right into the forefront right until later. And there are days where it seems like the creative way is just completely and utterly dry.

i agree with you
right now, since morning till afternoon ( At my time) my mind is absolutely dry, don't know what to do and don't have an idea to write.

Hi ifa!
I could not check this out earlier. I do not have any brain, therefore, the question of activity or inactivity does not arise.
On a serious note - I find that my brain keeps working 24 hours, even when am asleep my sub-conscious mind keep thinking and ideas keep pouring in my mind. I do not know how to stop the activity of my brain or should I make efforts to stop it ..........lol!
