I'm happy because my friend has changed

He's my old friend. He has visited me on last week. Before he has turned back his hometown, he called me to wish me peace and happiness. He wishes me and my husband would be success in carrier.
I was very surprised about this. He's never said like that before. Normally, he almost don't care about our life. He just loves the gatherings, meetings and parties. Now, He knew how to care to others ! I think that he would start to care himself. I feel happy about this!

I want to my friend chage too. He is my close friend for ten years. But I think, he only love himself and don't care about me. I am so sad.

You can't say to him that he must care you and other friends. I think that he needs much time. But if he never change, you should thank God because you have had a friend for a long time.

It sounds like your friend has grown up! When you mature, you usually feel more compasion for others and it seems this is what happened to him.

You're right. He has grown up, moreover quite late. However, I feel happy for him.
Too bad he already returned in his hometown. I wonder what made him change into a person like that.. maybe love, God, only he knows.
