Indeed in this case it very much could be! There's a diamond ring out there that's made entirely of diamond and it's a mere drop in the bucket at a cool $70 million! I know I'd never afford such extravagance in my lifetime BUT I'd love to just try it on. http://thelook.today.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/03/22/10815774-the-150-carat-all-diamond-ring-that-will-cost-you-70-million

If I could afford that ring I would not buy it. I would not want to get robbed and that be taken off my finger.

That is why I say I'd like to try it on but like you said realistically you'd need guards so you wouldn't get robbed of it or leave it in a safety deposit box.

I remember a few teenagers when I was a teenager getting beat up or even shot in bad neighborhoods for their sneakers.

Wow..that is expensive. It would be neat to wear it for a minute. It might have the Cinderella effect though so I better leave it alone since I wouldn't be able to keep it.

I know that I will never make even close to that figure in my lifetime. YIKES! It would be fun to try it on just to say that you have touched a $70 million dollar diamond, but I would not want to wear it. In addition to the cost of the ring, you would have to hire at least one body guard to protect you from being robbed. Well, I guess if you have $70 million dollars, you could afford the bodyguard(s). I remember shopping at the mall years ago with one of my girlfriends and we were in a jewelry store trying on rings. I tried on a ring...I think it was 3 carats...and the salspeople were watching me like hawks. But it was fun while it lasted

Only 70 million?! What a bargain! . Just kidding. Obviously. That's insane. Who can afford that? And if they could afford it, why would they even spend that kind of hard cash on that kind of thing? *shrugs*. Oh well. I have never owned any diamonds. I prefer clothes and shoes. In fact, for me it's "clothes and shoes are a girl's best friend"! Happy MyLottin'!

Hello friend, People say that, but then for me personally, I prefer platinum and I got myself a Platinum ring last month. It looks really cool and simple. Of course, I would buy a diamond set in the future with the platinum coating on it. Diamond is a girl's best friend, but for me it is just a friend, Platinum is my best friend, And the dearest friend of mine is Gold. I have a whole lot of jewellery in gold and I just love wearing them. In normal days itself, once can find me with gold accessories on me. I am just an addict!

Not for me. I don't really wear diamonds because usually they have to be attached to something metal in order to be worn, and I am allergic to metal.

Another amazing story that i saw on my natioal news in the past couple of days. Thanks for posting this. I have a hard time seeing the TV screen, so it will be nice to see this closer, on my larger and closer computer screen. Evidently we're seeing the same news at the same time. LOL
