How often you upload pictures in facebook?

Indonesia

Since most smart phones support facebook now, i see people upload pictures everyday now. Some people even upload a picture every time he / she make a status. And the status doesn't even important like "Good Morning Friend- a picture and a status". And the picture is not even a picture of she waking up and / or have anything to do with morning or waking up. I also found people who upload picture every time that take a new picture. It usually when they are going somewhere. They can upload a picture a few times in one day. But it usually happened when they are on vacation or visiting some places. As for me, i usually upload pictures in batch. After i go from somewhere, i upload the pictures i take there in batch to a single album. So how about you? How do you upload a picture a facebook?

Well I have a facebook account since 2008 and I have around 10 pics on my profile so I don't think I'm much of an uploader. I prefer using it to talk with some friends that are in a different town now or abroad. Though i'm not uploading I don't think i'm much disturbed of uploaders or status updaters. The only ones that I can't understand are the people that upload every picture they've taken and when I say every picture I mean EVERY picture, shaky, blurry, black, white, pictures that look the same :P

LOL lakantar. Yes i know what you mean. Some people seem to enjoyed upload every single picture they taken. Maybe they use facebook as their own storage picture database since they run out of storage in their cell phones. LOL. Anyway, thanks for your respond in this discussion.

I haven't uploaded new photos for at least a year. Some people take several pictures every daya and upload them, I see that all the time, too... it seems like they go somewhere only to spend all that time taking photos. If I want to share pics with family and friends, I prefer to send them directly, I'm not comfortable with having several albums on facebook, unless it's about sightseeing or holiday.

Well yes, so it also happened to you too almond24. I see people who take picture every minutes of their life. After that they upload it to facebook and share it to every one. Well it is actually their right to do so. I usually never pay attention to a picture of a person who upload like that. But if a person whose rarely upload picture, upload a new picture, it usually take my interest and i end up watching the whole album.

I used to upload pictures in bulk when I had been on a trip or had a few great pictures I wanted to share. But I've since taken most of them down and I never upload anything anywhere. To be honest, I've kind of fallen off the bandwagon with Facebook (not that I was ever really on the bandwagon there to begin with, I've always not really liked social networking sites like Facebook) and I rarely log in anymore period. I just don't like the idea of all those pictures of myself being up online. I even untag myself if someone else tags me in a picture.

Sometimes it seems to me like everybody but me loves facebook. But maybe I'm looking at the world through a tinted glass. I usually only log in when someone's sent me a message, or I need to get ahold of a facebook addict.

Well it is not really like that. Every person have their own interest allyoftherain. Maybe you have other interest than other people. It is okay to like different thing, that what make the world colorful. Anyway, it is more easier to contact facebook addict trough facebook, i agree with that.

Well thanks allyoftherain. I know that not everybody love facebook. Some of them only log in every once in a while just to check what is going on. Usually they upload a picture very rarely, and when they do, it usually in batch and in a special ocassion.

I honestly don't upload pictures to facebook very often. I think my facebook photo album has about 6 pictures in it and it has been a year since the last time I did upload one. I guess that I don't feel that I have enough photos that are interesting enough to bother putting them on facebook to share with the world.
• Indonesia

Well thanks for sharing this with us woody7189. Well, some people really like to share their picture, even the picture is not important and has no historical meaning for them or for other. Some actually share only their memorable picture to other. That is the way of preference.

Almost never , to be honest I don't have time for such frivolties. It greatly annoys me that people couold take every moment of everyday to post up a picture on FB. Don't get me wrong, I'm cool with it, 'cause I know somewhere along the line I'll start doing it, recently had a girlfriend tell me, she doesn't see any pics in my profile, and I've friends living abroad who would like to be kept aware of how I'm doing and looking, so yes as relates to the occasional picture it's fine with me. But uploading a pic everytime a status is made???? Those people have too much time on their hands, and if I do upload pics on FB I normally do it how you described it, in batches in a single album. That's definitely the best way to go as far as I'm concerned

Oh i see, well i actually see people who never upload a singe picture in their facebook account. But when that happened, they usually not really active in facebook. Yes, uploading in batch is the best way to upload. It is simple, and it easily organize. Thanks for your respond success1625.

personally i rarely upload photos but then again i do not have a new phone that is able to do so lol. i would like to be able to and if i could i might randomly add a picture or 2 of my kids or my husband or if we are out camping/fishing i might upload a few pictures through out the day so the family can see how much everyone is having and keep updated on our trip :) but if i have a whole lot of [pictures i want to upload i would put them on my computer 1st them upload them all at once. as of right now my husbands mom takes a bunch or pictures of my kids when she takes them for the day so i just go thro and tag myself if the ones i like the best that way i have updated pics of my kids. other than that all the other pics i have are old ones or pictures that are from a long time ago that i found recently :) the last time i updated photos i was uploading pics of my grandfather and the family with him to make a slide show of memories with him :)

Well yes, but it is facebook. People have their own approach of enjoying it. As long it is not disturbing us and not annoy us, then can do whatever they want with it. But i do prefer people who upload their picture rarely instead of uploading it every single minutes. Tahnks for the reply dolphin
• Indonesia
25 Mar 12
Well thanks crazzy dolphin for what you share with us. Yes, many people actually prefer to upload picture in batch. And they usually do only after a special occasion. But since a few that like to upload a picture every single minutes, it make an aura that facebook is full of people like that.

i think that it is just easier and easier for friends to find all the pictures in 1 spot if they are uploaded in a batch :) but i have people that will tag themselves in my pictures so they have the pictures of my kids growing up to :) yes there are many people who upload them every minute on everything they are doin. i had a friend who was taking a walk (that was he status) and like a minute later there was a pic of her walking down the sidewalk....but i guess that is what they are into. another friend of mine does scrap booking so she adds a lot of pics but she is doing it for school so i can understand that but others could step back a little bit lol

In the past I found it was already slow for me to upload photos in Facebook. Later Facebook is banned in my country and therefore I have to take advantage of a software so that I can access to it again. But not many people know how to do it here. Therefore, I don't have many real friends in my Facebook and therefore I am not interested in uploading my photos there. I love China

Well i see my friend. What of the most reason people don't upload photos or video is the slow upload speed. If it is too slow, i think people will not want to upload thing. The other reason is, if there are no one to see the uploaded picture. Thanks for sharing my friend.

It depend on your view of facebook, if you viewed it as a way to meet new people and making new friend, adding an unknown person might be a good thing. But if you do that, make sure you are not put anything private and very personal in your profile. Just to be on the safe side.

Hi,youless~ I think you may be surprised to find actually there are many people doing it.I was surprised the first time I tried to search for schoolmates in Facebook. And apparently many schoolmates found me and FRed me.But again, many of their profiles aren't complete yet and most of them I don't know who they are.And to tell the truth, many of my friends on Facebook don't know me personally. But it's still nice talking to them sometimes.Right now,I'm having more foreign friends on my account with the expansion of my social circle. And it's cool. So what software are you using,FG?

I've been using facebook for almost five years now and though I do have a phone that will allow me to upload pictures directly from the phone, I really don't put pictures on facebook all that often. The reason that I choose to not put a lot of pictures on facebook is because of the fact that I feel that is taking away too much of my privacy. In addition to that, I would rather tell the stories that go along with the pictures and for that reason the vast majority of my uploads are scrapbook pages.
• Indonesia
30 Mar 12
Well yes, uploading too much picture will give people information about yourself. It will give you less privacy and it will be easier for people to steal your identity. Off course uploading picture every now and then is okay since you still need to share a few thing with your friend.

I usually upload a photo or two once a month. Every now and then I'll upload a random one after I come back from somewhere or after working out or something of that nature. I've never been the one to go all out uploading photos on Facebook. There are quite a few people on my friend list that do though, and I must admit that it is sometimes annoying.

Well i take interest in what you said about uploading photos after working out. Did you go to gym regularly. I have a few friend who like you, often uploading picture after working out. They usually make it as a motivation for pressing their weight and show other how he progress so they can motivated each other.

No I don't never go to the gym. When I do upload a working out related picture, it's usually a picture after I went running. I'm on the same page as your other friends who upload photos after working out. I do it to motivate people, and show them that I live what I preach. A lot of people don't like it when people come at them telling them what you should be doing, so I try to lead by example. That's really the only reason I post those types of pictures.

Oh i see, well if it can motivated people to go jogging like you do, then you should do it. When they see what running can do to you, they might want to try it too. keep it up my friend, i hope you success at what you do. Thanks for replying my question before, have a nice day.

Not too often anymore, there are too many privacy glitches in the system. I have wondered if it were safe to do before but no more than ever as on the newer act I just created there, I have had two people I didn't know request my friendship and subscribe to my latest updates too even before I accepted or deleted them from the friend request. Why would anyone do that right off the bat without even knowing who I am???
• Indonesia
25 Mar 12
Well thanks nailtech, Can you tell us nailtech about the privacy glitch. Did the privacy glitch have anything to do with uploading a picture. Some people actually like to subscribe other people update. If they like a person, or if they think they know the person, they might subscribe it. Just to make sure they are not adding the wrong person.

I rarely upload pictures in facebook. FB for me is about connecting to my friends and knowing more friends, plus entertainment through games. My wife is different, she uploads pictures whenever there are occasions or events like mall shopping or just strolling. People do really have different approaches.

Yes i agree with you sinnedsejatnom. People have different approach about the best way to enjoy facebook, and in my experience, mostly woman is the one who enjoyed uploading picture in facebook. Most men simply satisfied using facebook to communicate and playing apps.

Yes you are right joystick, people often upload unimportant picture in their facebook. But you should upload a few picture, so your friend in facebook could recognize you. And why you avoid getting tag, i think if it is your picture, it is okay if you are tagged with it.

Well very true varier. Uploading my own picture, will give many people who see it a clue about our life. If we upload too much, people will know about what we do most of the time. This information can be used to trick and scam us, our people that know us. Thanks for sharing this my friend.
