Hi Guys! Who among you works in an office? what type of office firm do you have? Me, I work in a training firm. Our office specializes Hotel and Restaurant Training like Food and Beverage Service, Housekeeping Service and Bartending Services. We have integrading upgrading skills for each individual and then after an individual finishes his/her training, we endorse them to our linkages companies like hotels and fine-dining restaurants for them to be employed. It's quite helpful for our trainees that after they acquire our training, they don't need to find the head offices of the restaurants and hotel. we provide them the exact locations and job openings for them to apply for. plus they were able to have quality training for every field. how about your company? what do you provide and what kind of industry do you work for?

A year and a half ago, when I was still connected with a food company I was the one in charge of training and orientation. It can be fun teaching workers how to excel in the performance of their duties and responsibilities. I became involved in training right after our SGS certification 22000.2005 which emphasizes the need for training in all the levels of the organization. The length of time in a certain job does not necessarily mean that the employee has reached his full potentials. There are other areas where workers need training specifically on employee communication and relationship. The trainings has certainly upgraded the employee's job performances and their productivity. Having a certificate of training also enhances their own prospects in future job opportunities should they wish to apply for other companies. Training also increases the quality of work and certainly improves employee confidence and self esteem. Many companies nowadays have realized the value of training since well trained personnel becomes a very important investment for profitability.

Yes its true! many companies nowadays requires an individual a certificate of training. I have a client in a particular school that said to me that a bachelor's degree is not enough for an individual to excel particularly in the hotel and restaurant services for this kind of service requires skills and integrated training to enhance an individual's performance. It is essential that each individual undergo a training before he start to work. and i know that our company is giving out its best to help individuals to enhance their skill. and its a good feeling when our trainees goes back in our office and thanks us for helping them in their employment =).

Many individuals find trainings as boring since they have not realized its importance especially when applying for a job. A certificate of training is certainly a plus point especially in the food and restaurant business.

Yes. also true they do not want to spend money too in acquiring training for they think it's just waste of money. not knowing that it will help them to be skilled individuals.

I do work in an office environment. I belong in the IT field so most of the time I'm programming, doing application administration/configuration works and database management. The good thing in my line of work is I get unrestricted internet access :D Users of systems, of course, call us for support and we also communicate with our Quality Assurance counterparts during the development stage.
