A lady pretend to be mentally unstable to avoid jury duty

You might read the news, and you might feel how it is when you were calling to jury duty service which is required by local government system. A lady contemplate a plan to avoid such service, and she dress up in Christmas reindeer costume, and over apply make up on her face. When she show up on the court room, common sense on the first impression, she is mentally unstable, and she is excuse from it. Later on, she brag about her successful plan on radio, which is heard by million of audiences, which also included the judge, she is so busted. And now, she was served with a perjury letter. So, what do you think about it. I knew most people would not want to serve the jury duty, nor want to waste time on the court room to listen to some uninterested case; But that is our citizen duty. So to reflect our common citizen's opinion, should we have freedom to choose whether or not to attend the jury duty?
