Me and my boyfriend would be completing 1 year on 4th April. So we both are really excited about it and I know he is planning something to make me feel special. I also want to make him feel special offcourse! So I was thinking what to do. I thought of making something that he would like and keep with him forever. Anybody has any idea as what to make for him? Is buying gift a better option? If yes then what to buy? I am really confused about what to gift him! Help!

Oooh! Happy anniversary in advance! I would suggest going on a roadtrip or going out of town with your boyfriend to celebrate your anniversary. That's what we did on our first anniv and it was so memorable. We went to a place that we haven't been to before together. I meant he's been there, I've been there, but not together. It was fun! We like food so we also made sure we ate a lot of food that we haven't tried before. I also made him an anklet and bracelet. Yeah, guys wear anklets too. It was almost like those friendship bracelets that we used to do when we were kids. It was summer so it looked good on him while we were surfing at the beach. The love letter that the previous mylotter mentioned is a good idea too. Make it short and sweet so he can keep it in his wallet forever. It's also a good idea to gift him something that's personalized. Like a keychain with both your names, or even pictures, engraved on it. A ceramic coffee mug with your most memorable pictures as a couple printed on it. Things like those. Enjoy!

Even I was thinking to go for personalized things! Key chain is a good idea. He can keep that forever if he wants! And I really dont know about love letters! He always tells me not to give him any love letter or anything that sort because everytime we have a fight or he becomes angry with me, he tears them up and throws them and later repents deeply! Anyways, I hope you and your boyfriend are doing well! Wish you all the best and thaks for your response!

Personally-made gifts are always the better option. It will come out as sweet. And the effort and time invested on it is, more often than not, greater than when you just have to pay for the gift. Here are my suggestions: Cook or bake something for him. Just like how the old saying goes, "The way to a man's heart is through his stomach." And it is a super sweet gesture. Even girls dig it. Write a love letter. Handwritten. It never gets old. Later on. it'll remind you both of the time when you both are trying to come up with smething special for each other.
