Are You A myLot Addict?

I am sure there are many people here who would look at this title, and go what? How could anyone be an addict here? Well, personally I think it would be easy, just like with anything else in life. Just most of the time this is way more healthier unless you are neglecting your home and your family, and your health.
But personally look at your life and your day. Many of us have days we are way more active than others posting here, and starting new discussions, etc. and even sometimes this is all we can think about. But at the same time most of us have other things going on in life that we know we cannot be here as often as we would like.
But seriously, when you are online, do you find the only thing you ever want to do is be here in myLot. You spend every Free moment you have here, and even find yourself not eating or spending time with family and friends just to be here? I know there are many times I might have been guilty of this, but also make sure to take time out for other things in life. Personally I Love being here, but I know there are other things I have to do as well.
So what about you? Have you ever really thought about this?

When I first joined MyLot it was like an addiction, or a compulsion. I still prefer it to many other sites. I get other things done, and take care of my family, but MyLot is such a reward to me. It is my way to keep friendships.

Hi, Hatley, I am always looking for you as well. Pretty often you see things I miss since we are in different time zones and have a different pattern to our lives. On some discussions I look things up, on others I go for my gut instinct. I think having such a wide variety of friends helps me with my everyday stuff. It helps me keep in perspective.

I personally agree with you Tina, as of now It is already 4 am here in my place and still I'm awake and do mylotting. I do mylotting all day, even when I'm doing house task I glance at mylot from time to time looking at discussion that interest me. But there are times I got tired and satiated when I can't see a nice discussion for me. My friends are calling me to go out sometimes but when It's hot outside I preferred to stay home and do mylotting. That's the way I've been addicted to mylot.

Well, it is True that a lot of times a discussion will motivate me and when I cannot sleep this is a Great place to be. Personally you can learn a lot about life here, and sharing in everyone's happiness is never a Bad thing for sure.

I have thought about it. I don't think 'addicted' is quite the word but I don't what would be either. I am on here everyday. I go to my inbox and respond to all my discussions and such from there. I think an addiction is something that creeps into your daily life and makes it difficult to impossible to live a normal life. I don't feel I am addicted. I feel that each day Mylot is a part of it. It is my social outlet.

Good words for it, even though you can have some of these same people on Facebook as your friends, there are things I feel a person can share here that can be a little more personal without a stranger just reading it and then not really sure how to deal with you. Or someone being too nosey, and one day using it all against you. Calling this a Social Outlet is a Great thing for sure.

I think I identify with the social outlet a lot. I have friends I care about and MyLot lets me see what is happening in their lives.

This is a nice subject, but I wouldn't recommend this type of discussions to guys the read a little philosophy, in their life. Saying you are not an addict of something, usually means that you are, so how can you really know if you are not. In my opinion the best way to verify this, is by seeing what are you doing while myloting. f the answer is eating, then you are an addict, my friend. But if you are doing this, 10-15 minutes daily and you just kick back and relax while discussing some interesting topics, I guess you are safe for now. So remember, mylot and food don't work too good in the Mylot society.

Well, there are some I am sure that can say that at one time or another they have ate something while posting back here in myLot especially the days they spend most of their time here, but for many it is just about posting and taking time away to spend with family or to eat, so as long as they do this they are OK?

My myLot addiction keeps swinging between a "Yes, I sure am" and "No, I don't think so". When I first joined, I would type in the answers maniacally to make some good money. But after I got my first cash-out, I moved over to other sites thus killing my addiction.
So, no, I'm not much of a myLot addict now. But I sure check in with it everyday to see who has responded to my discussions.

Well I know what it is like to have a lot of things keeping you busy trying to earn online. I go thru spurts here too but still continue to reach payout in here from time to time as well.

No, I'm not a myLot addict. I'm here when I can, for entertainment and for learning new things. My days are busy but when I want a break I come here or play a game. I like the back and forth and seeing other peoples' points of view. But if myLot was gone tomorrow I would miss it but it would not leave a big hole in my day.
Don't get me wrong, I really like a lot of people here and I like the concept. I just have a lot of other stuff going on that I have no time to get addicted to anything--except..okay, my great-niece got me addicted to the Game of Thrones book series. I'll read a few pages of that even before making time for myLot!

Well, I can relate with this one, as I do have a life outside of work, and being here and sometimes this is not the first place I can be, but I know I would miss it if it was not here as a place to come and talk about life, and meet so many wonderful people.

Well I have a lot of discussions coming to my inbox all the time. Many of these will take me a long time to respond back too, due to time. Most of my time in here is spent responding back to discussions that I have started like I am doing now and then trying to catch up with friends etc discussions I am interested in responding back too.

I won't say that I am addicted to mylot. Personally, I only post discussions and reply to other discussions whenever I have spare moment during the day. For the sake of monthly cash out, I will do my best to make the best of it everyday though. I won't call myself addicted to mylot because I wasn't active on the past couple of weeks, which slow down my earning on mylot already. My ultimate goal in mylot would be to cashout every month, and as much as I can.

I have been that active for a few months now so I can't say if this is a start of being addicted to MyLot. But I'm planning to come here everyday since I'd rather spend of my free time discussing issues or talking to MyLot friends rather than looking at websites for nonsense. I also doesn't have facebook for more than a month now so I don't have anywhere else to go to. But of course I make sure that I've already done everything I need to do for the day before I type my free hours here.

Oh how I can relate with this one as being active here is way better and more fulfilling than a lot of the other sites out there. Here you can come talk about life and things going on around you and people will usually care.

I was just smiling upon reading the title of your discussion because I think that I am not one of them. I was curious if there really is a mylot addict. I know that as of now, I am not yet in the league of mylot addicts if there really are some. I respond to some of the topics as much as I can but I also visit other sites, do other things. I get bored sometimes or my concentration is not too sharp to be at mylot always. Also, the topics are not always based on what I want to respond to.

Yes, I think we can all relate with this one, as I know there are times I have come here and my mind is not on the topics of discussion and interest here, so I end up leaving and come back here another time when I am more up to it. But the good thing is you can really do a lot of research and learning here, and find things to learn about you may find yourself interested in.

I did have to have a good look at the title, but then I realized there was a question mark at the end, so I had to ask myself. Well, am I really a Mylot addict, or not? If one considers the time I have been a member, then I guess I would have to answer yes! I like the site cause it is very consistent and I also like to answer the questions and comments people make here! Yes, it is a fun place and there is no pressure here, so one can take it at one's own pace!

That is the Truth and the Good part of being a member here. There are times I am too busy to be very active in here, and that is OK. Then there are times that I can be here and post all I want and have a great time doing it and learn about others, etc. It never hurts to come here when you can.

I do not spend every free moment in myLot. Most times I spend time when I am in good mood. When I am in good mood, I spend lots of time in myLot. I have been not active in between days in myLot. Now a days I spend most of my free moments in myLot is trying to be active.

I know for myself I go thru spurts when I can be active in here, and there are days that I am more active in here than others. (Like when I was recently on vacation and very limited to Internet connection even on my phone.) But I do find that a lot of times anytime I get time to come here makes it really worth while for sure.

Well, I can understand with being gone for a bit and come back, as I personally think we have all done this a time or two. Or the times you try to come here, and there is nothing exciting to post back too. But always Glad when you are here.

Well, I think a lot of it is the amount of time you have to spend in here. There are many days I know I have spent more time in here than others, and then the times due to vacation, etc. when I am lucky to get much posted in here as well.

Addicted? No, I hardly ever visit Mylot 
I spend quite a lot of time here. When I am at home I visit Mylot almost every day. When I don't have much time I just have quick look around to see what kind of discussions that my friends have started. On those days I only stay for about 20 minutes or less, but I still want to visit the site, and I find it hard to stay away completely, so I guess I am sort of addicted Some days I spend hours here, because I enjoy the discussions a lot, and Mylot is the only site where I have been an active member for 4 years. I keep coming back because I love the international atmosphere, and the chance to talk to people from around the world.

Yes, this is a Good thing being able to connect and talk with people from all over the world. I know personally I have many friends from all over, and many I look forward to hearing from. So even the days I cannot be here it makes me wonder and miss many of them, and give me some encouragement for the next time I can be active in here as well.

I am starting to like MYLOT so much, but it never come to a point that I will sacrifice my time with my family to this.
I think anything that is too MUCH is also bad. I just use this one when i'm at work, so I try to open up new discussions and add some comments whenever I am waiting for my students.
This is really a fun site plus you can get some rewards and earn as well.

Well, I have posted many times from my phone now too when at work, or traveling around and when at home, especially late at night when everyone else is asleep.
