This year is my first time to watch THE VOICE on television and so with THE X-FACTOR USA last year. I first know about these two singing competitions only in youtube for the past year. I am not either a big fan of AMERICAN IDOL so i want to figure out between the 3. For my own opinion, no doubt THE VOICE is better than THE x-FACTOR even though i found that TXF is bigger than THE VOICE. Compared to AI, AI has already made it's name to the entertainment scene, while TXF and THE Voice is still beginning. I find that these two shows may conquer AI and make it down. But again, personally, i like more the thrill and the challenge that THE Voice has other TXF. No doubt, talents in each shows differ because, also not all singing competions are just the same. Each of them are looking something different from the products of the others. :) . For your own opinion, which competition is better now?

"The Voice" is by far my favorite. I don't watch any other singing competition. I like the fact that the whole show revolves around the person's voice, and not by what they look like. I also like watching the judges battle for the contestant. This competition allows singers to have a different style of voice than you always hear on TV. I like that they enjoy working with a variety of styles and don't just stick to what you hear everyday.

Every show has its own disadvantage, i think. For the voice, though they focused on the person's voice, they do not tend to see how they perform. So, if we take a conclusion, i should say that the winners are for radios, not for concerts at first. However, they could still manage to perform on stage with proper lessons.

Singing star? - No, not at all, just me many years ago now singing in what may have been a pub in London.
Honestly, I tend not to watch any of these shows, although I did take an interest in the X-Factor for a short time a few years back. But not to any degree since. It's just not my kind of music at all. In terms of contemporary music, I prefer more Independent singer songwriter style music. That said, these kinds of shows have done wonders for some folks' careers, such as Susan Boyle; and you've got to respect a phenomenon that would give older artists a chance; and Susan has talent, there's no question; also Leona Lewis is a very gifted singer who did well out of one of these shows. I auditioned myself once...a few years back...for the very first series of the X-Factor in London. But I didn't even get past the first round. I wasn't on form that day. Perhaps I might have another go one of these days...but then again perhaps not. We'll see. http://myspace.com/swingtette http://myspace.com/wallyseventee

Unfortunately I don't have more than one TV to watch here so I have to share it with others who live here. So I have to skip over most of the Voice shows, cause although I have a DVR it is still quite the pain to try and watch every episode this way. I have watched X factor last year for the first time and this year first time I saw some of the episodes of The Voice. I dunno which is my fave though. I did like X Factor. AI is still good too. Maybe I just didn't watch the Voice that much yet to decide on it.
