So you decide on a course of action. You talk with all your friends. What do they tell you?? You can't do that!! Is that really true?? You would be surprised how many things I have done that people have told me I couldn't do. Should we limit our possibilities because of the negative view of others?? I hope no one out there is doing that. Some of the most successful people were told that they couldn't do it. Some of the greatest discoveries were made by people who wouldn't listen to: You can't do that! Don't just keep sailing away from shore. You can't do that! The Earth is flat. You will fall off the end of the world. OK! OK! As you can see, it's all in the view. No one can have a better view of your life than you! DON'T ALLOW OTHERS TO PREVENT YOU FROM TAKING YOUR JOURNEY!!! It is meant especially for you! OK, so tell me. Can you do it or not??

Have you been successful now, that so many people told you you could't do it? Public opinion is a scary thing, still you would be wise to consider them before taking any actions.

Yeah I do agree that it is wiser to still consider other people's opinion. Because sometimes we tend to have tunnel vision when we want something bad, we forget to see the negative effects it might give us. I get your point that the earth is not flat, and that's how Columbus succeed. But we cant do whatever we want because whatever action we do might affect the people around us. I say ..... do what you must but never neglect to listen to opinions. It will always be your choice no matter what.

How about: Listen to the advice of others but walk your own path. Even stepping on some toes or making big mistakes will be much better than taking no action at all just to please others. It is important to be ourselves not only for us but for those around us. That is why we are all together in this world.

Before we do something,we ought to think twice,in addition, we have to draw upon all useful opinions. However we must have ideas of our own.If we take in every word of others,we will get nowhere.

Thinking is required with all our actions. We must lead rather than follow all our lives. When people say you can't, think twice.

Over here,we have an idiom "one asks every passerby how to build his house,as a result,he is at a loss as to what to do." In real life, the reason why some make contributions to society is because they develop a style of their own in their field.

Hi bird: Oh yes, it has happened too many times in my life. I don't like this response, when people try to stop you just because they think you can't do the things you want because they are so closed minded. I take their advices into account because they are my friends but I follow my heart and my intuition. Sometimes I have made things this way and I have surprised them. ALVARO

Yes, maybe if we return to them having accomplished the task we can show them there are possibilities they too are capable of if only they try.

I'm trying my absolute best to remove the word "can't" from my vocabulary. It is just something that just limits what I can do and obviously if people tell you you can't do something or you start believing them, then on some subconscious level, you start believing it. Half of the success is determined with how much we believe in ourselves. Just because they couldn't accomplish what they wanted to accomplish does not mean that I should be discouraged with what I would have liked to accomplish. There are some people who sadly have to really ruin it for everyone else, by tearing down their hopes. You might think you can do it but I tend to try and shrug off discouragement. You never know until you make the attempt.

That is exactly right.Your quote: You never know until you make the attempt. Just like you, I am going to make that attempt by removing can't from my vocabulary as well.
