Way back in high school, I used to love eating this food named as BANANA meat. I think it's not a common food and I tell you it is so delicious. I've been craving for this food for years. I can not find any store that offers this food here in MANILA, I think it's a unique recipe from CEBU. The banana particularly (CARDAVA) and you stuff it with meat and then fry it. love it ..love it.... love it....

Stuff it with meat?!!! I'm presuming that's cooked meat, right? We don't have that where we are, and I don't think it's something that I would like. Well, it just doesn't sound appealing, but perhaps it would be different if I get to taste it. What I like with that type of banana is when it's boiled (broiled) then pair it with calamansi and ginamus a graying-salty tiny fish preparation that's foul-smelling to foreigners hahahaha. But I really am curious! Have a great MyLot experience aheaD!

Yeah, you said the banana is fried, but it's thick right? how does the meat cook inside there if it's still raw in the first place?

I can honestly say that this is the first time I have ever heard of Banana Meat. But then again I have never been to Cebu. I'm from the north. But I know some people whose hometown is Cebu and it has never come up in our conversations. I would like to try that, though. So do you stuff the peel with meat or you stuff the actual banana flesh with meat? You know like hollow it out then stuff it? I really hope I could taste that one day.

Really, try it sometime. You know what, when I first heard this one I said it's weird but then when I tried it, gosh! so delicious. Yes, you stuffed the banana (CARDAVA/SABA) with grinned meat with seasonings and then you deep fry it. =) Try to ask your friends i'm sure they know it.

No I never heard of it. What kind of meat you stuff it with? I only know the baked banana and love that :-D I don't think I would stuff it with meat ever, am not so fond of meat, although I wonder how it might taste. Can't you find the recipe on the internet and make it yourself?
