oh at reasturants i always get water and hardly ever buy soda not just for the saving s which is great , but the water comes out of a fountain and does not taste like tap water which i hate and it is always very good and cold as well and i sneak a little sweet in low in it as well can drink many glasses ...that way

I wish you a lot of luck. I started drinking water with some flavoring in it, I like Crystal Light's "Focus" because it has some caffeine in it, but I also drink the orange flavored ones from Walmart because they don't. There is also a Hawaiian Punch flavor "LemonLime Splash" that is a really bright green, but very nice. They all have 5 calories per 8 oz glass, but 10 for the whole tube, but that's fine

water is so much better for you, even if you are drinking diet soda. my suggestion is to by crystal light if you need a flavour to your water. as for me, i drink about 3-4 bottles a day and have fruit juice in the morning (generally cranberry or orange) and drink nothing but water for the rest of the day. since last summer, i have lost 10 lbs.

I started to lose weight at the beginning of 2011, and one of the things that I decided to do was to stop drinking fizzy drinks and start drinking more water or calorie free juice. Once I had done this, I found that I was able to lose weight a lot faster and more regularly, so I would certainly recommend that you should do this if you have the chance to be able to do so. If you can, water is the best thing to drink because it is the only thing that is truly good for you as it doesn't have any calories or additives in it.

You are right, water is realy good for the health. This is the only fluid/liquid that can really cleanse our body. Keeping your self hydrated is really good for the health. Additional tip, according to some natural doctors, you need to shake water at least 40 tmes before drinking it. It wil help retain water inside your system for longer time making your pee intervals longer. This will also help you hydrated longer. Also, shaking water makes it easier to take and absorbed by the body because the molecules were already disturbed. They also suggest that you must drink water 1-2 glasses every hour.

Yes shaking water can be easily swallowed too. I tried it. Also, they are suggesting or recommending to shake warm or room temperature water first before drinking especially after work outs or any physical activity. This will help our veins dilated.

I just do not know if drinking more water is enough for one to achieve that desired weight loss. I think it is a combination of a healthy diet, regular exercise and a happy disposition in life. So many factors affect one's desire to stay fit and healthy. I also have a problem with drinking too much soda. I think that after this discussion, I will likewise be more conscious about the things I put into my system, soda, junk food and otherwise. It's about time that I do something about my weight as I am not getting any younger. Best wishes to your endeavor. May you reach your goal this year.

I'm not a pop drinker, I much preferred water. It's a good therapy I still remember my father when I'm still young he used to drink water for therapy and never eat food. He called it cleansing diet or fasting. Only water and no food intake, sometimes he can last for a week only just water he told me that water is the best medicine than artificial medicine he took. I can drink water 8 glassed or more excluding coffee or juice. Specially now that is very hot here in my country.

Me too. I'm starting to drink more water now. It's much healthier than with any drinks that contains a lot of sugar.

Good luck to you! I have started drinking nothing but water and Crystal Light. I need to work up to drinking about 100 ounces a day at least. I get around 60 in most days although I did get up to about 90 a few days ago.

i am very lucky to get in one bottle of water a day.. i know its bad and i need to do better but i just hate the taste of plain water and got burned out on all the lemonades like crystsl light .. so i crave pop on a daily basis and often and its easier to just give in and where i just started a new job that makes it harder to try and adjust to everything and all the changes ahead..

That's a good mission to have! Once you get a taste for water, it's kind of like soda... (Or 'pop' as us midwesterners call it ). I cannot go a day without at least 2 liters of water. Which is awesome. But it turns into kind of an addiction. At least it's a zero calorie (and free) addiction. . I quit drinking soda & energy drinks in mid-November - and I was HARDCORE addicted to them - I'd have a couple of Rock Star energy drinks (or sometimes Red Bull) a day including a few sodas as well. It's a harder adjustment than most think, but once you get used to it, you stop craving soda! Although I crave a Diet Mountain Dew every now and again...And I still drink coffee... I feel better and more clean. Not sure if I have lost anything as a result of it. But if you're looking to lose weight..Water boosts your metabolism, is good for you, and makes you feel more full. Plus if you replace soda with it, you're cutting back on a bunch of empty calories. best of luck to you!

I have tried this and I don't remember the last time I have had a soda. I am actually proud of myself that I haven't popped open a soda and downed a few glasses of those. I am also surprised that I am even drinking more water then I used to. I just don't like the taste of water. After some advice from a co-worker I squeeze a little lemon juice in my water and it works. Now I don't even add lemon juice I drink the water straight. I also drink tea. So good luck to you and keep at it and you will feel more healthier and you'll get the results you want. With me doing what I do now, I have maintained the weight that I want I haven't gained any weight something I don't want to happen and I don't want to lose any weight because if I lost any more I think I'd disappear . So, just stay at it and if you have a slip up don't worry about it you can always start over.

thanks for the great advice , its great that your doing well too. i hope one day to be able to drink more water i can drink it if i have ice and it is really cold or put the bottle in the freezer and let it get good and almost frozen its good that way, i use to put sweet low in my water and i loved it and drank a ton but then i found out it was why my stomach was hurting so bad so i had to stop. and went back to the pop becasue i was so about the loss of the sweet low as it tasted so good..take care

That is such a great move laken02! I weaned from pop a few years ago. It was hard but eventually, I didn't even notice that I'm hardly drinking pop at all. The sugar in pop is just over the roof. Some people don't like water because it doesn't taste good. So they drink fruit juice instead. That's what you're doing as well. Which is a good thing. You can put honey in fresh lemonade instead of white sugar. Then try to drink a glass of water after you drink something sweet to flush it from your throat and mouth. Hang in there! Slowly but surely is the way to go. You can do it!

yeah, if i stop drinking my pop and drink more water i knowi coud probably lose about 10 pounds ..but right now im adjusting to a new job, new schedule, and new sleep pattern so i think its best to take it slow and get things in mylife straighteed out first. then later i can work on my diet.
