Sleeping at night is better than sleeping in the day time

Although you spent the same hours sleeping during the day, it will never be able to make up the lost sleeping time at night. Let's say you stayed up till 4 am, then you started to sleep right after 4 am and woke up at 9 am to make it up. when you wake up you will still feel dizzy and have a slight headache. You did plan to waku up late because you thought you had lost 4 hours not sleeping at night.

Many people have to sleep in the daytime because they work at night, but I agree that sleep is not the same... if I go to sleep early in the morning I need to sleep more hours than I would at night to feel rested. But honestly even in those cases I had a headache. The best would be to go to sleep before midnight.

Some people only sleep for several hours--perhaps 2 or 3 hours because he or she find it difficult to sleep for more than 3 hours. And during the day he or she does not make up for his lack of sleep. It is because he or she doesn't feel sleepy at all during the day although his sleeping time at night last only 3 hours. I know a great author who has written a lot of books and all his books are best sellers. He spends most of his night time writing simply because he can not sleep as many hours as others. This is incredible, I think.

Yes, i agree. There's no such thing as making up for sleep lost. When we lose that few hours today, it stays with us. In fact the longer we sleep, the more tired we feel throughout the day as out body is not used to resting that long. Our body adapts to changes in a fast way, especially sleeping habits. By not sleeping regularly, we will definitely feel tired more easily. Though nap time does help, but too much nap in the long time, tends to turn it into a routine which is not good for us either.

Though I do agree with you that it is a lot better to sleep at night than to sleep during the day, I also know that there are a lot of times when this is something that is just not possible. You see, when my daughter was little I worked 3rd shift at one of the local hospitals and though I haven't worked there for over seven years, I still find it difficult to live my life on a first shift schedule.

About working during the night, I think doctors know what prescriptions to take because we lost the sleeping time at night. The best medication is probably eating a lot of fruit besides having some sleep during the day. What's your take on this?

Sleep at day time is needed but don't pass half hour because if you pass half hour it will make your body more sleepy and will make you lost of power and 1 hour sleep at day time is equals with 2 hours sleep at night time

Sleep at the day time is not intended to make up your lost night sleep. Night's sleep is the most important thing to do as when you sleep at night your body is detoxifying poisons, which is why when you wake up in the morning you feel fresh.

Hello friend, I don't think that. I think sleeping in the night is good. If you sleep in the night then your health will be right. Have a nice day.

Yes, like I said earlier, that our body is doing detoxification during our sleep at night, which is why it is good for our health. For many occasions I alwasy try to sleep before midnight.

I would think so, somehow, human being is better to sleep at "night", probablly during the night, everything is dark. everybody should getting rest and also, during the night, most of the shops are closed, basically is nothing to do, unless you are online all night. But personally I prefer sleep in the night

Not because of the darkness but more because of detoxification that body has done during your night sleep.

I´m sure that there are different body rhythms, yanzalong. And that is fortunate, because there are many nighr job on Earth. In Winter, now that I´m retired, I get up after 9 AM. I have nothing to do earlier than that and if I stay in bed I save on energy as the early hours of the day are the coledst ones. No headache for me.

Hi all, during sleeping at night our body is detoxifying (removing poisons in the body). If you are awake, this detoxification doesn't work.

I agree with you vovandat1988. That's very right. Detoxification works when we are sleeping at night. I always try to do the best not to stay up during the night.

I think it depends on the person. In my case, I don't like to sleep late. Just like you, I feel dizzy and sluggish. I think sleeping at night is still better.

As a person with sleep disorders I sleep when I can. Sometimes I'm unable to sleep at night so I might sleep during the day, instead. I try not to take sleep medication because I don't want to feel like I need stimulants the next day. Last night I slept from 2 AM until about 10 AM. That's as close to normal as I get.

Do the best you can to avoid being awake at night, especially after midnight. I was told that night's sleep helps remove toxin.

Generally, sleeping at night is the best thing we should practice. Besides staying awake at night may cause obesity and other illnesses. You are right, you can not really compensate the number of hours of sleep we lost during the night even if over sleep the next day. However, due to several changes in our present world, some people, whether they like it or not must do the sleeping in the morning. Most especially if they are working during the night time. But if we will just be doing it for some caprices, it's not a good practice for us to develop.

Night sleep is like semi fasting. When the body is fasting, the organs in it is self-cleaning, curing, and detoxifying toxin and poisions. That's natural because God, as the human creator has indeed made night as the resting time. So, make use of it.
