I speak two languages and I'd like to know if RealTranslatorJobs.com is legit. I understand the payment of $34 membership fee but before I sign on I would like the help of people who have tried online translation, either with this site or others. Are there any other sites I could go to for work aside from this one? Thanks a lot for any info.

I join with this site before but didn't give me any jobs and I didn't get my money back too..... I think you know what I mean.

It is a scam site. Do not join any orogram that requires you to pay out of your pocket. I once read a comment about the site that when he decided to pay the upfront fee, he was given an access to the database. But he found out that it was a big waste of money to join there since the surveys are also geographically selected.

Real translator job is a big insult to all those who are real translators. Think about it no company will pay you for translating a document without meeting their high standard and usually not anyone can join. In real translator job it seems anyone can join if you have money to pay the upfront payment. If you can read between the lines you will understand that they are only interested in your money.

One of the reasons I like myLot is people here come up with such sane advise. :) Any site that expects you to pay up front is likely to be a SCAM in 99% cases. You can take your chances for that one percent, if you are comfortable losing your monies. Since you want to earn monies - may be you could try iwriter.com. Your English is good for that.

I have been receiving consistent emails from this RealTranslatorJobs for about a year now which I have ignored. I am not into sites where they ask for money upfront. Why should we pay for a job when it should be otherwise? There are many sites where they give you and job and pay you once you complete the order and not the other way around where you pay before you are given a job. There are many scams and fraud in the internet, so beware. Read forums and reviews. There will always be someone who will post an opinion regarding these sites whether legitimate or fraudulent.

This ^^ If they were legit and they wanted users to pay for their service (providing the translation jobs), they would just charge a fee from their earnings!!

I actually had this experienced when I was looking to this kind of Job but I had decided right away not to proceed since I have to pay for membership, So what I did now I look for a freelance job and then I was able to know certain sites that tackles all of this... and I have already friends who are really connected to this...

There are many people ready to take up translation jobs online. All you need to do is identify sites that have translation contractors and register with them for you to be able to post jobs. There are some sites that do not require an upfront payment during registration although there are some that require a commitment fee from you.

There's no point in paying a site for job leads, you can find them everywhere online for free. Just try Googling some work at home forums like wahm or others and they have plenty of sites that hire translators. Do you have a degree in translation or are you native speaker? If you only know the native languages you most likely won't find any companies hiring since most want professional translators. I also know two languages and I've found it extremely difficult applying for a company that hires translators with a degree or some sort of professional experience.

hi leiah! ... $34 is a big amount of money i would hesitate to part with it for anything much more for a questionable site like RealTranslatorJobs.com! i once paid for a site too that promised i could earn lots of money online but i did not earn a single cent at all and i did not get my money back at all. i suggest you try odesk. you can sign up for free. good luck!

Hi leiah, welcome to mylot I have seen that realtranslator.com and yes you're right you need to pay upfront and I don't recommend that because why have to pay for you to make money? You know what I mean right? There are more out there that doesn't need payment for you to get paid. Feel free to visit my website I have freelance job that I put there and fits your skill and there's a lot more jobs to choose. Hope it helps

I speak 3 languages and I was interested in doing translation jobs online also but I searched this website online and read many reviews that it was a scam so I never joined it. Also, I don't join any website which asks for money upfront as most of the time they turn out to be scams. Just be careful and do your research before you decide to join this site...
