Earth quake and tsunami alert in India

An earth quake of around 8.7 magnitude struck off Indonesia and it raised fear of tsunami in Indian ocean. Mild tremors felt in some parts of India also. The tremor was a result of a major underwater earthquake off the coast of Sumatra. In my place also small tremors occurred and everybody was running out of the building. After i came to know about the major earth quake in sumatra and tsunami warning.

I just read the news and here in Indonesia, there's been a small tsunami about 80 cm. I hope everybody is all right and there's no big tsunami.

It is good to know that everybody is right there and no need to fear of Tsunami. but whether there is any causalities due to earth quake?

I think it is a long time my state Kerala having a earth quake. I don't know why god gives such a dangerous situation but I am happy to know that there are no damages or destruction here in Kerala

I also belongs to Kerala. now i came to know that the tsunami alert is called off and nothing more to worry. I thing there is no causality in this earth quake in India.

Yes I saw that in the news. And 8.7 is the really high one. But good thing is that now India is not in danger zone. Hope other countries will be safe too.. Tsunami is the terrible thing after a earth quake.. I am glad that this one haven't affect much.

Yes, In my office also many people felt the tremor but i didn't felt anything. Now, tsunami warning was withdrawn and people are safe in all 28 countries where tsunami alert given by their respective government.

I saw same kind of videos in the news were peoples are running out of offices. I am wonder about why these earthquakes are constantly happening around Indonesia?

Thanks. But now every thing is all right and official declaration is that no need to worry more and there is no chance of Tsunami in India.

I know that there happened earth quack.. But my friend telling that, but there didn't came tsunami.. Am I right..? And you are telling that happened. I don't know more. Thanks for starting this discussion. Good discussion. In this discussion I knew some things. How myLot helps me.. and us...
