Bed bugs

most of us are very clean! some extremely so. yet i also am aware anyone can get them. just like lice! my grandma used to say, its not being nasty if you get them, its being nasty if you keep them! meaning if you do nothing about it. like lice, they are very hard to get rid of and believe it or not there are people who dont know they have them since they dont bite everyone when i was 13 yrs, we moved into a furnished apartment. during the night i got up itching all over with big red whelks every where on my body. my mom and step dad had nothing on them. he said, looks like bed bugs and checked the mattress. even then i thought it was just a saying, had never known they really exist they were in both beds. and never bit mom nor step dad. next morn early, they dragged the mattresses out and wiped them down with some nasty solution, plus burned a torch all around the other part of the beds. then all bed clothes got washed in hot water and bleach. perhaps some just dont know how to get rid of them. its quite hard. we should have pamphlets passed out in health centers i think to explain. mom used to make a joke about it. we should let her sleep there a little to see if there is bed bugs, she'd say lol!

Bed bugs usually thrive in dusty and unaired places. It is amazing that the country that we consider to be heaven on earth can actually have a bed bug infestation in such a great magnitude that it can actually make the headlines. Should we assume that they are too busy to care about such trivial issues or is it just negligence? Bed bugs can be easily cleaned out using insecticides.

I live in dread of these things. If they get into your house it takes thousands of dollars to clear them out. Ordinary pest control won't work on our bed bugs, they seem to have mutated a resistence to them. But every new bit of cloth that comes home with me goes directly to the washer.
