I was thining while observing women, usually when i see women wearing a ring in their ring finger i would assume that she is already married although i don't know how to tell if the ring is just a simple ring or a wedding ring. But the thought that they are wearing it in their ring finger i would think that they are married. But i have also seen some who also wear their ring in their ring finger but i think they are still not married just basing on how young they look. Is there any reason why women would wear a ring even if they are still not married? Well, i could tell the difference physically when a lady wears earrings from not wearing one but i don't think its the same thing with wearing a ring. Maybe some women don't want to entertain suitors that is why they would like other people to think that they are married or maybe they don't know if wearing a ring would have any meaning. What do you think about this? Do you usually assume that a women is married if you see that she is also wearing a ring? Do you know why some women would wear a ring even if they are not married?

Weadding rings are different from the ones that can wear daily even is on their 4th finger in the left hand. You can see by the look of the ring , what kind of ring it is. weadding ring has not pearls, or diamonds , they usually are plain. Another thing , if some young girls are wearing these kind of rings in the proper finger , they might want to call the attention of other men , some men or women like married people, to hang up with. Just be careful.

SOme women just wear rings and probably don't think about the wedding ring finger. Others are married and may have upgraded to something different looking than the traditional wedding ring. I have a ring on my wedding ring that doesn't look like a wedding ring and I am not married.

hi there! i think women wear ring for fashion and the fact that we love jewelries can explain it well. when i am not married yet, or still not in a relationship, i already wear a ring. it just feel good to see a shining piece in my finger.

I wear rings on any my finger ...depending on my mood. It is not big problem also if I wear a gold ring on my ring finger even i am not married yet, just because at that time that ring is suitable on my ring finger only. It is quite small with the others fingers. Wearing on a ring finger is a sign to know that woman is married woman, but it is not correct 100%. Many my friends do the same like me. However, i often wear ring on my index fingers, i believe that it will bring a luck for me. Sometime i wear rings on my middle fingers, my thumbs too, but never wear rings on my little fingers...because i don't have any small ring that suitable with little finger at all...:)

A ring is jewelry just like wearing a necklace so it depends on the person why he (yes also men wear rings) or she is wearing a ring. also you are free to wear it where you want (which can include the thumbs and toes as well). I seldom wear rings or any other kind of jewelry and this includes my wedding ring. I know some women do wear a wedding (look a like) ring because they don't want to be stalked by men. If you want to know the real reason just ask that woman.

Well I agree that it's an obvious identity of a woman that if ever she wore a ring it signifies something of such an importance maybe it mean that one is either engaged or probably one is already married but perhaps there could be a reason also that women does wore it for accessory purposes that someone pretends that one is either married or not.I guess wearing it doesn't really matter for the modern time because of financial difficulties what is important is the extraordinary love that the couple has for each other but then majority still does strive hard to have such belonging.Yes I guess it's true also that they does it to wary themselves from unexpected suitors. No matter what reasons behind having such possession what is important is the significance that it brings to the possessor.

I don't wear rings because I am allergic to metal, and most rings are made with metal.

It could be just fashion. Over here in the States some married women don't wear a ring! so you can Never tell.Wedding rings are usually simple bands over here. But you Never know!

I used to wear a lot of rings, but it got too much hassle having to take them off at night and for work, so now I only wear one simple little signet ring that my granddad made. I wear it on my ring finger simply because that's the only one it fits on _

I wear my ring on my ring finger of my left hand. I am not married yet but this ring I have was given to me by my boyfriend. He also has the same design which he wears on his right ring finger. I just like to wear it on my left hand which usually means I am married. Married people wear their wedding ring on the left ring finger. I use them so that people, specially guys who are interested will think that I already has a husband.

I rarely wear rings, but I used to wear them on my ring finger since I was a little girl and can't really tell why. Except for the middle and ring fingers, I don't feel comfortable wearing a ring, because they either fall off easily, or they get in the way always. Wedding rings here are usually plain flat rings with little or no decoration. But about some of them it's hard to tell if they are wedding rings or not.

Well I wore ring before I got married and many people asked me if I was single. STill it won't stop me from wearing them. The thing was those two rings that I wore were my birthday gift one was from my sister and the other one was from my student so wore those ring always remind me how much love they have for me, and that I love them very much the same. So Cyclopz there are so many reasons why woman wear ring even though the haven't marry yet and mine is one of them. If you traveling to ASIAN country you will be surprise see almost all woman wear ring regardless the age because in their country ring is just for accessories/ part of jewelry they wear like bracelet or necklace, at least that's what I learned during my visit there two years ago.

As already mentioned above that not all women who are married wear rings, but in my country, Indonesia, any person using the ring in their 'sweet finger' (right side of middle finger in the right hand) must have been married, but can not be denied if they do not wear it or forget, or because of other reasons. The conclusion is not always that woman had been married, but only as an ornament. Hope can help.

It is not a sign that the woman who wears a ring is already married. It is known to anyone that a wedding ring is worn by both men and women in their right hand near the index finger.A woman with a ring just signifies that she is just like a fashion conscious or it is just her fling to wear a ring. Some rings are signs that you have graduated from a certain degree in your studies because it bears your school and the degree you have finish is designed in the ring. The ring is sometimes gold or silver and sometimes with precious stones or just paste of colored synthetics.
