I am shocked. Are you too?

I have 10 referrals and not one of them is active. I never forced them to join. They did so willingly and now they have all vanished into thin air![em]angry[/em. Are you blessed with good referrals who are as diligent as you are or are you also sailing in the same boat as me?

Don't delete them! Last year I had one become active after a 2 year absence and now he is here quite often, though I know he is studying and can't be active too much right now. I have a total of 98 (but that includes some who have lost or deleted their accounts) and only 4 have so far been active this month. They seem to have periods of activity and inactivity but they all reach their payout eventually. I know none of them personally and they all come from online adverising that I have done over the years, most of it for free. I consider the referral earnings as a bonus and I don't rely on them to reach payout. Indeed I must reach payout with solely my own particpation. The rewards for searching, for completing tasks and from referrals are then extra.

Nope. Not at all.. Now don't think i'm having so called the-active referrals in this site.Infact,i've not yet taken the boat you're all sailing in now.You guys have some refrrals don't you?I guess 'm not old enough to have referrals--cause i always say,i'm not here to earn but write and write and write--that was what i was doing before i joined this site-but those were in papers-torn now-or lost in worlds.. Let me make my stay stubborn here-first-then we'll think about referring-maybe my dad-who is abit interested in writing too.But i've never thought about it so far.I'll ask him way now.Maybe he is interested oo,and what if it adds up to my earnings? Who in world would say a no then? HAHA!! Good day!

When one asks friends to join it is not just about earning from referrals but participating in your discussions which does make a difference. You are on the right track. Get a hold on the site and then go for referrals. Your Dad could be the right choice but don't let him watch you flirting around!

Yeah, I agree but i rarely have started discussions :) Haha! 2 out of this small number is not bad i suppose, though :)It does, make a difference after all all-knowing!I've responded to the maximest of discussions today-maybe i should say, my most active day so far! HUH? You think so? My dad's friendly, he could at times be flirting and i suppose he would be afraid of me, incase i tell this to my mum (LOL)

If your referrals can work hard, you can get a lot from their work. But it depends on them or on you. So do not get angry with that, different people have different ideas. I also ask my friends and roommates take part in mylot, they are my referrals. But i soon find that they prefer spend their free time in shopping or watching movies. So now i can get nothing from my referrals.

They are my friends and I cannot afford to get angry with them. If they were around here participation would have had a slightly different meaning. Earning is secondary for me.

Hi I am facing the same thing. Actually I am not that good in getting referrals, but still I able to get at least 4 referrals here. But none of them active now. Actually 3 of them never post anything here. One of them was active very little in the starting but after 3 or 4 days he too left here. I don't know why they are stopping work here. They are surely missing a good site.

We are all from another forum. Some have independently registered here and some under me. But I don't see even those who registered independently. What was the euphoria then to join and now to vanish is for me a million dollar question!

Well, you see, I was able to "drag" on this site just a friend, among other very trustworthy. He, because he had obvious problems with the English language, has hardly ever been active. Indeed I believe that unfortunately has completely abandoned Mylot. For this I am very sorry, not only for the money, but when a person leaves a site like Mylot, which I think is fascinating, I always regret.

To be honest with you, I never aimed for referrals. I tried to get some of my friends to sign up, but seeing that they weren't interested in it, I just let it be. myLot is the first time (EVER) that I have tried to put up referral banners, not in discussions but on my profile page. Those are the sites I honestly believe in, and I'm earning well. I don't think I have any referrals as yet, but as long as I'm working for myself...

allknowing there is one person you can always depend on and that is yourself. you know mylots a lot more than just earning and that is something a lot of newbies never stay long enough to find out.so you know you will always come forward for yourself.

Having no referrals is better than having inactive referrals. I have a blog but I was waiting to see how my existing referrals would perform to place a banner there. I have decided against it. I have no intention to go after referrals.

I don't have any referrals here or in any of my online earning sites. The reason for this is that I don't really invite people to join under my name. If they want to join, then I just give them the name of the site. I don't like having referrals because they might get disappointed when they don't reach their monthly goals and might hold a grudge against me.

Being independent is the best way to be on any site. I did attempt getting referrals in the initial stages but later realised that it is better to be independent. I had registered with several writing sites that pay depending on how many visit you. Here again I realised it would be folly to beg people to visit your page. I now have just one site where the article requester is the one who accepts or rejects the articles written.

No, because I have 27 and only one seemed to be active enough, but not anymore. Last time they signed in was 4 weeks ago, they signed up 4 years ago and has only a 911 next to his or her name. Everyone else, the most they got was maybe a 10 and then I have those that got a 0, they only signed up I guess because I did ask or they didn't know what to do and didn't think to ask me or accept my friend request, (This was before friends were automatically added) But I don't have time to recruit anymore, so I just let it go and just keep enjoying myself here..

I did not expect so many saying the same thing. Why did they register in the first place if they had no intention to continue, unless they were not patient enough to know what an interesting and absorbing site this is. Loss is theirs I suppose.

I have just two referrals who were both active at the time that they joined. Now, four years later, neither actively post. I do wish that they did though. I can't say anything though, as I haven't posted in probably a year and just started back.

Your upline is one fortunate person that she has a referral who is active and how!. When we find our real friends here interacting that has a different flavour but it is sad that they do not stick around.

I have referrals too. But not as much as yours. No, actually, I would not be shocked if they suddenly quit on me. Why? Because the sites I join are all legit so they don't make you rich suddenly. The sites I'm a member of pays little if you're still new. But once you work smartly around them, one will earn bigger as time becomes their allay. I found this when I calculated what my earnings will be after a year if I focus on earning in my sites--solo or not. Have a nice day and Happy MyLotting!

Indeed MyLot is a site that does not make you rich. I would also like to state that I was not merely talking about MyLot but the general of the sites that I've signed up to. For now, as a newbie to earning online, MyLot is my largest paying site. I once thought that I'll get enough money here in MyLot with little effort. That was more then 3 years ago. But as I got to know MyLot along the way, I realized that MyLot is a site that will only pay me for my contribution--not a get rich site. That I understood but one cannot help those people signing up then quitting altogether because of misconception about the site. I almost did the same before but I still returned giving it another go. I am an on and off member. Then I became serious in earning here just last December. MyLot may be my largest paying site now. But, I think, soon it'll be the other sites then. And it's all because of my earnings here in MyLot, that I'll earn bigger in other sites once I invest the money I earned from here to there... I hope others may understand this someday before they decide to quit.

myLot is not a site where one can get huge sums of money but it has a package that can sustain any user here with lots of interesting participation. I am here just for that and those referrals who had this idea of making money here have been wrongly informed or they have misunderstood.

I agree with you Rose. I am a freelancer and I got hooked on to a writing site - thanks to someone here talking about it. myLot is a stepping stone from where one can spread one's wherever one wishes to as users do talk about money making sites. Not just money making sites but sites that provide refreshing moments too.

I don't pay much attention to my referral earnings but I don't think I've gotten any referral earnings either. I've probably got atleast one page and three people worth of referrals and not one is active. It's funny though as this site is probably one of the easiest places to earn and the most fun, but I guess they'll just miss out, won't they?

I don't think any one forces any one to register here. At best an upline would perhaps just explain the benefits of this site and it is in the interest of these referrals to see for themselves what it offers. Unfortunately they have not done that!

I had two referrals. One joined and never participated in any discussions, the other one was active for a while, but when he reached $10 he cancelled his account. Today I have no active referrals. Some of my friends seemed interested in joining MyLot when I told them about it, but they changed their minds when they discovered that they would have to write in English. They find it too difficult to write in English. Some of them lost interest when I told them that we got paid for our participation ("People are going to write all sorts of nonsense just to get paid, and there will be no quality discussions") I think that they have the wrong impression, but I couldn't persuade them to join, and I have stopped trying.

What I feel is that these referrals come with great hopes of making money. This site has lot more to offer than the opportunity to earn. One needs to be here for some time and if those whose objective is to earn they get to know other sites particularly writing sites where they pay well. Patience is the name of the game Porcospino!

Hello Allknowing, I have several referrals my whole life and in this regard i think we shouldn't expect too much from them. besides, the only thing we can give is gratitude in case they are active in this site. don't worry, we can earn this site on our own with out referrals

Most here were someone else's referrals who have become uplines for their referrals. Having said that I don't understand why these referrals should lose interest. If they had no desire to be here then they should not have registered in the first place.

I don't usually do these referral things. Most people I know and would feel comfortable asking them for it, would just register just to make me happy, but wouldn't be interested. And I hate spamming and flooding people with my referral link, that's just so not my style.
