I don't really read newspaper everyday but still I rely with the news updates on newspaper when there is available in the house or in the school. I would go to the library just to read newspapers. My grandfather always buys newspaper which is written in our dialect. One factor which would incline me to read newspaper is the headline. Some headlines were really a shocker or just beautifully stated which would makes you interest to read. Aside from that, I would be hitting the entertainment section. I just don't know but I feel like go to the entertainment page and then after that go to the horoscope section. Well, as a student of International Studies, I love to read news about International Politics like what is happening to country A and B. My professor said we have to read news everyday so we will be made aware. Hey mylotters, do you read just like me? Or you are more into sports section? Or just check the lotto results in the newspaper? Share your own experiences here. I would be happy to hear them. Keep Smiling!

Of course, cearn,I am just like you.I too like reading newspapers, especially those published in my mother tongue,Hindi.Reading political news is my choice.I like to know what is going around and how it influences my own country,India. To understand the influences of a particular event properly,I read as many as four newspapers in Hindi and one in English. Thus I manage to reach my own conclusions about the event.

I tend to read the classifieds to see if there is any work. The Help Wanted section or employment, depends on the paper as to the heading. Then the cartoons because I need an anti-depressant first. Then the world and state news. Then the local news. Some fools are always killing and kidnapping people. I read the newspaper backwards because my parents always got the front of the paper first and that's why I read the back. Even when I lived on my own, I like the employment, funnies, Dr. page, all that the best. So the back of the paper first.

I guess boys are really into sports a lot. Yes they are. There is nothing to be curious about that. While boys dig in into the sports section, we girls tend to be on the entertainment section too. Thus, we now see the difference.

The only day in the week that I see a newspaper at home is sunday. Sunday is the only day when my mom buys the newspaper. So that day I can read it. I usually read the opinion section, because I like to know how other people interpretate the things that happen in our society. I also go to the entertainment section, the one that talks about the concerts in the city, the movies on theaters, etc. A section I never read is sports. I hate sports, I mean, I don't hate doing some sport, but what I don't like is watching sports being played on the TV, so I don't really like to read what the newspaper says about soccer, basketball, etc.

I think we are doing the same thing. I go to the same section as yours. Sometimes, after reading I would share it to my friends and relatives so that they will know about the news of the day. But I read sometimes the sports section only if the my favorite sports team is there.

hi:) I don't usually read newspapers, but I read news online since we have an internet connection, and also because I don't have budget to buy newspapers, because my allowance is just enough for my everyday expenses at school, but like you I also read entertainment page online and also my horoscope for the day.:)

A lot of people nowadays don't rely anymore with newspapers. Instead, they go to the internet when reading the news. That is why a lot of newspaper companies are already down because there are only few people who are already subscribed to newspapers. It is bad news for them.

My family doesn't get the subscription anymore but sometimes my scholl has them where you can read the Morning News. Usually the only things I read are Page Two, the comics and the horoscopes. Although if there's a headline that really catches my eye (like if there's someone I know that makes the news...), I'll read it.

We really have our own criteria on what to read in the newspaper. When I know someone who is in the newspaper, I feel happy. I can't believe they are in there. I feel so proud to them.

Yeah, i'm reading on a daily basis, usually more on sports section.. haha :D I'm not as interested in international affairs while being more concerned about local news Even though i'm holding a smartphone, i'm not used to reading news in it as i dun get to feel the actual article i'm reading.. lol I prefer a physical copy, bringing it to cafes, enjoying a nice cup of coffee as i'm reading daily updates.. haha

In this day of online news that are being delivered to your finger tips at the moment by the moment, faster than you can digest it all, newspapers do seem like a bit of a relic from another time. By the time you get the news from the newspaper, it has already been digested by many. Something else, some new development is going to happen. Still it really doesn't matter how you keep up on current events, as it is a good idea to take a look at it. Granted, newspapers, just seem like a waste, because why would I want to read news that I could read by going onto CNN or Yahoo or something much earlier. It is good to keep up with the news, regardless of how one really does keep up with the news.

True. Newspapers have already evolved from time to time. I guess we just have to deal with these changes. With that, I read a lot of news in the internet like for example in yahoo news. Well, it is good because we can now access the news in just a few seconds. Life's getting better, indeed.

I don't really read newspapers. For me and my budget, it seems a waste of money, and time to go to the library if I have nothing else to do ther, when there are loads of online portals and news sites where I can read the most important news... and I can effectively search what I want. Sometimes I read this kind of free newspaper that I get at the underground while I'm travelling to school/whatever place I go to, but that's all. Oh, and now, I work as a media monitorer, which means that we type in the daily news (and parts of politicsl and economical other kind of programs) on tv and radio to databases, so I get to know every single important news. It's actually pretty good, because I'm not THAT interested in politics, but it's good to know about what's happening in the country and in the world, and now I'm kind of forced to follow them. Earlier I usually read the arts and culture section first, the little comic strips and the crossword/sudoku.

I think you are just being practical my friend. Yeah you may right. It seems to be a waste of money and paper. I also use my being practically sometimes but when there is a need to buy, I will really buy. Newspapers are very helpful for you to get informed of the happenings. Have a good day dear!
