This movie just recently came onto video, so you can grab it online or at the store (if rental stores still exist!). I was really looking forward to seeing it ever since in was in the theatre, just that it was such a limited release, that it wasn't easy to find in the theatre. So, now I saw it, and I really enjoyed it. I think it's more because of me, I've always been a fan of thriller/sci-fi kinds of movies, and this fit perfectly into that category. I also have a real love for Russia, fantastic country, and having this movie taking place out there, from the perspective of americans, I thought went really well. It's all about a pair of guys who are selling an app to a Russian company, so they go out there in the hopes that it works out, but as everything comes together, all the power in the whole city goes out, and they see beautiful northern lights above them, and then a bulbs of light floating to the ground like snowflakes... everyone is so taken away by it... even moreso when the first person walks into it, and he quickly turns into ashes. This small group of tourists have to try their best to figure out what these are, and how to get away from them. Really fun movie, and if you like a good sci-fi or thriller, I highly recommend checking it out.

can you explain what was so bad about it? Did you know it was a thriller / sci-fi kinda movie? I hope you weren't expecting a romantic comedy, or anything...

The story, the graphics, everything was boring, I saw the movie expecting to be a good sc-fi thriller, but I was disappointed ...

that what makes Star wars..stood the test of time..as a classic sci fi.. The moscow that look super empty..as if the have rent for a few days of shooting from the government of Russia is pretty neat..the best of the film i reckon..

i usually like a different type of sci-fi thriller. more like futuristic things rather then aliens, etc. im dieing to see the hunger games. but dont like the crouded theater scenes. so waiting till i can rent it. may even buy it. i loved ones like Judge Dredd and soilent green, etc. thanks for the review.

I completely agree with you on both sides... futuristic sci-fi beats out modern day aliens, and crowded theatres are never nice. I had a 5.1 sound and projection screen for my place, but I still like going to the theatre every now and then to catch the extra big movies... and I recommend doing that for Hunger Games, works really well on the big screen, and it's been in the theatre for so long now, that it won't have too big of a crowd there.

I wanted to see this in theaters as well but the day I went it was too late so we had to see another movie and we never went back. I'm glad to see that it's worth seeing which I had heard on Facebook that it was. I too am into these types of movies but I sometimes find the newer movies like these aren't as good as the trailers make them out to be. I think I may have to go to Redbox soon.
