When we are responding to other question, mylot guidelines told to read all responses and then respond yourself. But I don't know all are follow this rules.. Some people responding directly. That I know(when reading their respond). But this is not correct. Read all responses and then respond yourself. Do you follow this rules..?? Sometimes there are so many responses to the discussion. At that time what will you do..? Thank you. Happy myLotting..

well it depend on the topic if the topic is like a question answer one then there is no need to write a similar response which already someone has posted, i just comment or just don't post in those (example how to do....?) but if the topic is not a question answer like, then i don't read the responses because everyone has there own views. I just post my views its entirely depends on topic so the rules that we must read all responses before commenting our own has flaws (not actually)

I agree with you all. The first commenter write their own experience. I like the sentence. That is in mylot guidelines. But its tough to follow this guideline. right..?

Yes Sk, u are absolutely right, they is no need of posting answer to a question which has already been answered unless u are desperate to earn by posting. When ever i respond to Q&A type of discussions,i would be even more careful, trying not to be repetitive... Some discussions are simply based on expressing our views...like that which start on sharing our experiences on this, such discussions don't come under this category. So there are definitely some missing clauses in the guidelines. One need not read the earlier comments to respond to such ones, becoz every one has their own experience..

Yes,i do.I've taken it as a point to read all the responses and comments, atleast all the responses before i start with my response.. As Diana said above, (incase you want me to explain it, then i would-she was the one who guided me that way) "Comments may also contribute to our earnings." I try to comment when and where i could add some information or correct someone.I did try to correct one of those newbies who gave a wrong information in another discussion here a couple of days back and i leanrt it from all these super-members here. I think myLot guidelines says it all-reading the responses so could comment if that was the same idea you had,and making it a bit different if your way of thinking was already approaxhed by someone else. That's why we are supposed to read the responses. And there's no use in just repeating things which the other one had told before right? When so many responses are there in a a discussion- i would read them all.Incase you find your answer somewhere? That's better if you read it all. When my ideas are the same as others' have, then i keep that discussion aside for a few minutes to think about new ones-if i get,i respond,if i don't i just participate in commenting. As long as it is fun,i'm going to do anything. But the worst part of it is that we don't recieve notifiers for the comments that we get back for our comment! Alas-if we get those-we would have our Inboxes filled only with myLot mails then. Good day!

Ah! Yes indeed- If there are soo many responses in a topic that doesn't interest me-then i would certainly avoid that topic. But you're sure you could provide a good and different answer(to a topic in which you are strong enough)-then go ahead reading all those-if the topic is of your interest-you will certainly have interest to read the responses as well..Develop interest. And think, you can also comment in those answers. That's not going to be a loss after all.And even that pays you irght? Try commenting more in the responses before yours.. Maybe that would help you to read them..

Try to read what the others are saying about that particular discussion and then add in further comments if you have any. Forget about increasing the number next to your username but think of it this way ... the more you type, the more you earn.

Hi, I mostly read all the discussions, until and unless i feel its enough... I spend time reading discussions rather than commenting on them.I enjoy reading other comments. But some discussions are really boring and lack interest. Then i switch to something interesting,or start my own discussion.Whatever, its fun being here in mylot....When there are a lot of responses to any discussion,i simply skip the discussion itself unless i find it tooo interesting...There are several occasions when i read simply the first page and went back seeing my opinion already posted...

Oh no,that shouldn't be the case with u(discussion starter)in this occasion,u are supposed to read all your responses...just kidding I think mylot needs to add sub clauses to its existing ones,to avoid confusion. It should add the clause that the discussion starter should reply to all his commentators... this would make the discussion elaborate, healthy and lively... Have fun!

I read the pther responses and often add comments to them while I am reading them. While reading the previous responses, it doesn't usually alter what I was going to respond and indeed sometimes it adds to it because I see some opinion that I had not thought of. Reading through the previous responses can often cause a laught too because many times the responses are irrelevant and it is obvious that the user only read the title, which sometimes has little of nothing to do with the topic. Commenting earns for us too so adding somments to the responses is worthwhile if you are concerned about earning.

If I am reading the responses, it is because I find the topic interesting and therefore there will always be something to add on most of the responses, no matter how many there are. I just keep leaving comments until I get to the last one and then I respond

Hi shskumbla, I'd be honest I don't read others repond sometimes because I respond a discussion in my own opinion. I have seen some other member here that they respond to a discussion with same others responses and other are just responding just to earn from it. If the discussion has 50 responds means the topic is really interesting, in that case I don't read the whole 50 responds from the topic but what I do is respond in my own opinion/experience

If I am in the middle of post-speeding, and have no mood to comment to another responses, usually I'll just read the first three responses and start to write my own response.. Unless the discussion is super interesting, usually I don't bother to read every responses if it reached 3 pages of responses Reading all responses might be good so we might be able to add something new. But if a discussion is about opinion, I think it would be just fine if there are some similar opinions. Mylot doesn't pay me for reading, though

I know that myLot doesn't pay for responding. There is one more thing,(that I understood my other mylotters) If we read other responses and responding ourself it would be the same answer. The starter will get same answers from all and bored at it. I have a doubt, that why mylot added this in myLot guidelines..? Thanks for responding and welcome back..

If a discussion get similar responses, then I think the discussion starter can comment back with similar thing as well :p I guess myLot put it on guidelines to ensure discussion quality and sustain their business as well xD. I mean, repeated things may not bring any good for them, while they are paying for things that we wrote..

Hello SHS,i do not read all the responses and then comment..it is good to respond without looking it..because if we look at those comments,we will sometimes change our responses..this is not what we want..we want the real opinion of that person..reading it will ruin it and that person will again respond some other opinion..we are making discussion because we want the real opinion of that person..Am i right??

If there are too many responses, of course I can't read all of them. Maybe I'll read the first two pages and then off I go with my response...else if the response goes way to the 50th page, and I have to read them all, I may not be able to respond anymore. I am patient in certain things...but not in reading responses a mile long.

Well, sometimes i actually read the whole comments people post if the topics is interesting to me even though the number of reply is like 30-50. I even read the comments on the reply. But sometimes, if the reply is not interesting enough, i would just fast read (like read the whole thing, not by reading each words and sentences). I would also sometimes skip most of the comments but still ready 1 or 2 comments on each pages if there are a lot of comments made to actually understand what people are talking about after the long conversation made for like 10- 30 pages long.

Hello Shskumbla, It all depends on the number of responses and the topic of discussion. If there is too much responses then it is difficult for me to read all those. If the topic is on general one then I can post my opinion freely. If the topic is on any doubts or such kind then I must read other responses to find out whether the query is solved or not. I am well aware about the mylot guideline, to read all responses before writing our reply, is it just to avoid the repetition.

For me, I just want to raise my point of views here. I am sure, no one will be the same as mine because I have not read their responses yet. Similar to your discussion, I just wrote what I had in my mind. This is solely my personal views and no one can be the same. But certain discussions, I shall glance through most of the responses to get an idea to start or before I can understand the topic further. Politely speaking, we shall read through all of the responses before we start our part.

But aeiou78, another responder can share your personal views, have the same opinion as you...that's why we are supposed to read...so we are not adding the same views and opinions as everyone else. If someone writes, the colour black is dark and foreboding and someone else writes the colour black is really dark and foreboding in my opinion -they have both expressed the same views and opinion. Get it??

Sometime I do read all comments and then response, but sometime I don't. It depends on my mood when surfing on mylot...lol. However, i often read carefully the topics and then type my responses. How we can read all comments of a topic if there are more than 30 comments, instance? it takes much time...then we can ignore reading all, just give out our opinion, and i sure that everyone will have their own opinion...^^

I have read the guidelines.Mylot expects us to read all the responses to a discussion before responding to it.But my problem is,I lack time.Within a short span of time I have to respond to as many discussions as I can.If I read all responses, then it would not be possible for me to be more active in the site that I want to be.So I have decided to adopt the middle path.I read some five or nine responses depending on the time at my disposal and then begin typing my own response.

Welcome to myLot In some you will have big responses i agree, but it's worht reading those than just leave it.People always would wish to write bigger ones-because here we get paid for what andd ONLY what we write.. It's therefore better to make your response descriptive as well as read other responses with Huge number of words, though myLot does not pay you for readin,it gives you cents even if you comment on them. When you find them having a similar or the exact idea of yours-you could comment instead of responding-that also fetches you cents pal!
