I also receive a lot of emails announcing me: "Congratulation, you have won..." I'm sure that they are scams because I did not participate in any lottery or something like that. I delete immediately all these scam emails. I noticed this kind of scam or phishing emails are more and more today.

Do not fall for that! there is no such thing! If I had 1$ for every email I got telling me that I won big,I would not have any debts(and trust me I have plenty).Lots of SCAMS out there,be careful,We want to make some money badly,so may be we are susceptible to believe all this, and that is what the scammers are counting on!!!

If you ever get an email, a phone call, or a piece of mail that claims you've won something, think: have I entered to win anything? Do I know this company? If I do know this company, do the contact phone numbers and addresses match to the real company? If no to any of those, ignore the communication and/or report them to local consumer agencies. It's amazing to me how stupid these scammers think people are...how could I have won anything if I didn't enter to win? Yet, people fall for it all the time, or else they wouldn't still be scamming people. I recently got a phone call telling me I had won a free GE home security system, that I was one out of five winning households in my area. I didn't sign up to win, and even if I had, it's so rare to win anything that I still would have checked the references. If you're ever told you won something, NEVER believe it until you check all references and pull out paperwork of your entry to whatever contest as proof. Also, if you don't have an uncle in Nigeria, he's not sending you money, and if they want you to wire money or send a check, it's a scam. In the present world, it would fulfill a lot of people's hopes and dreams to win something and get out of debt or pay off loans, but it's simply so rare it's nearly non-existent. Still, people are so desperate they'll leave their intelligent mind behind and fall for almost anything that doesn't make sense.

I received that kind of email too yesterday. That is a SPAM. Don't reply to it because if you will reply they will know that your email address is active and keep on sending you same kind of email. Delete and ignore it. God bless.

Ha ha, do NOT reply to this. Have you registered for any lotteries? If you won the Powerball, they certainly wouldn't send you any email that you won. . It's totally a scam, be smarter than the scammer and don't respond!

Yes even i have received many fake mails like these. These are the work of scamsters and should be avoided at all cost. They take undue advantage of the innocence of the people and exploit it.

You are absolutely right in your decision. Never pay heed to such offers. All these are meant to trap you. I think all those who use either the Internet or the mobile phone are habituated to receive such emails or messages off and on.

Yeah, it's a scam. You never win something if you did not join a contest. This always is present in the internet. The internet's full of scam and traps.

Don't respond on any email that says you won. It's a identity theft. I did have an experience 2 years ago. Someone called at my phone and it seems real. And then I read this article thing about an identity theft. It's a scam so better not to respond of it.
