Lately, i often added into my Friend's Friend friendlist in facebook. I don't really know her except that she is my Friend's Friend. Usually this kind of thing happened when i comment to my friend status, and my Friend's Friend also comment it. Some time we make a joke about our friend that make status although we both don't know each other.
When this happened, i usually approve or ignore the friend request, depend on many consideration.
Did this kind of thing happened to you too? What do you do? Have you ever done the opposite?

As long as I personally know my friend's friend, I think I'll add her. But if not, I'll not add her and ignore the friend request. Facebook is a rather personal thing for me, and it has been one of my habits not to add anyone whom I don't know on Facebook.

How if you get request from hundreds or even thousand?
I feel dizzi when I open friend request, some of it was a friend in here.

Thanks for sharing shekinahmia, i think it is wise for you to do that. It is a good habit for you to have shekinahmia. The same thing also apply for you too chicgale. Facebook is a place where we can share thing with out friend, and with stranger. Also can you answer the question from Devilova, shekinahmia? Thanks for sharing this with all of us.

I will never accept friend requests from people unless I have actually spoken to them face to face before they decided to add me. I see social networking websites as somewhere that you can make contact with old friends from the past rather than make new friends, so this is why I won't add people. In addition to this, you never know what other people are like if you don't know them, and I don't think it's safe that you add them and allow them to view your personal information when you don't know anything about them.

Well thanks for sharing your opinion with us gemmar. I think it all depend again to what we put on our facebook. If we put many personal information there, if we put many status that contain confidential information, then i think it is not wise to add any people that you don't know. Even adding people you know will give some risk. But if you put casual information that will not cause you any harm, you can still add people that you don't know. But still, you need to be careful when you do that. At least that what i think.

Well if that the case, then it will be rare for people to add you. Because they will not see you in other status, so only people that you know that can access your profile. Off course people can still access you from facebook suggestion. Thanks for your respond in this discussion.

Oh i see, so you will only approve them if you are known them in real life. People that you know not on the real life will never been approved when they are added you to your facebook account. What happened if your friend's friend give you private message asking you to approve them.
