Do you think the brand of bagel matters or is important? I say yes it is! I bought some bagels last week that were on sale at Publix for buy one get one free. They were Thomas' Bagels and they were delicious! This week Publix had bagels on sale again at buy one get one free. However this week the brand of the bagels is Lenders. I just finished eating one of these new bagels and they are just not as soft or delicious as the Thomas' bagels. I wish I would have bought more of the bagels last week now. Oh well, live and learn... Have you found that a particular brand of bagel is just way better than another? Both in terms of taste or texture? Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

I like bagels but am not an avid bagel eater. I did have some once that was like a piece of leather though...I don't remember the brand but if I bought them on a regular basis..that would be the one I stayed away from..lol.

I think the brand is bery important. I prefer Thomas's Bagels too. And also the ones like the Asiago Cheese Bagels at Starbucks are really good too. I think the brand of bagel is more important than the brand of the cream cheese. I want a bagel now too!

I do not buy bagels all that often, and so they seem to be about the same to me. I got some from Aldi's this week and they are really quite good. I like them as well as any of the others I have tried. I do recall that store brand and Lender's both tend to be more chewy. Some are huge as well and I do not need all the carbs and so will only eat half of one.

English muffins too. I some times find the store brands not quite up to par...like they don't have the same texture. I love bagels too...but usually the best are ones you can buy from a bagel store....in store though Thomas's are very good.

schulzie, I love Sara Lee bagels the best followed by Thomas'; they are very delicious with a soft and smooth texture that are wonderful toasted. I often buy Lender's because they are inexpensive but, even though adequate, they are not as tasty as Sara Lee or Thomas. Mmmm, now I want a bagel.

I'm sure brand does make a difference. I think the only bagels my family has ever bought are the Thomas bagels. Even though they're good, I love fresh bagels from Dunkin Donuts or even Publix. Some places have bagels that don't taste as good and they can be hard and tough to bite into and tear off pieces.
