Just when you thought..

Whenever i do something i try to make sure i do it perfectly or at least what i think is perfect. When somebody gives me something to do, i try to do it just before the deadline. I don't like disappointing people. Sometimes though just when i thought that i already did something well, something would come up and it makes me feel that i haven't done my best. It's so frustrating. Have you ever experienced this at all?

Me too. No one like to present unfinished work. Whatever I do if I still got time I will do it and try to do my best. I will work it out till the last minute but sometimes what we think is good might not be seen as one by others. Its really frustrating. Thankfully they will always give me second chance to prove it so I still have time to fix and change anything..(^^)

It really is frustrating when you think you've done your best and they would say it's not what they wanted.

What to do?ITs for them and they will decide which they want for the best. As long as they give me enough time to make any changes then its fine.(^^)

I do experience that sometimes Toni, in my work. ANd when that happens, i would just scratch my head and tell my boss, i was still sleepy. It's a good thing, my boss is so understanding and she knows i can outright correct whatever it is that was erroneously done.

Toni, all the time!! I'm in the most thankless job. people don't realise how much I do. I organise couriers to get items from all over the world, back to our company, for a certain time. and when you bring couriers into the fix, things go wrong, ALL the time.. yet does anyone thank me for everything being here, when it needs to be here? no! i speak to clients all the time, and try to keep them happy, when the sales people, and the bosses won't take their calls because they are being annoying! do i get thanked for that? no! so yes, i do understand how you feel when you feel like something isn't your best. because i do my best everyday and no one even says thanks, so it feels like i haven't done mine either!

I somehow have the eye view on how it feels because the situation might be different. What is true that it feels frustrating. But I try not to think things about it so I wouldn't get stress. whew!

I think "perfect" is pretty unattainable don't you? I don't try for perfect when I am doing something. I try for "good", "above and beyond" - but not perfect because you will stress yourself out when you make 'goals' like that.

Hi toni This happens with me so many times - mostly at work though. I think I am still to learn that art of better communication via emails when with clients. Sometimes, as I work over the Internet from home, we (me and clients communicate via emails only - maybe when the client is traveling or even when I am not online during their hours) - and the specifications needed do not get communicated well. Right now, we are going through one such phase and I am unable to deliver what he needs - just because the emails from him are so very confusing. When we communicate via chat, or IMs it becomes easier as I ask and get clarified on what actually is needed.

That's great Sid! Communicating through IMs are way much easier and faster to clear things up.

It is frustrating indeed but we can't seem to stop it. Do all women think like this?
