There are many people on My Lot that haven't done all that much traveling but they have some ideas where they wish to go in the future. I nearly died in 2009 and if so my last trip would have been Cape Town and the Garden Route in South America. Amazingly I got better and stronger gradually. I have been able to see a few more places on my travel wish list like Vancouver in 2010, Cartagena in 2011 and Rio in 2012. Here is my travel wish list: Peru to see Machu Picchu Ecuador to see the Galapagos Islands if I can ever afford it Nicaragua to visit the Corn Islands Costa Rica and Panama on the same trip Madagascar to see the lemurs Mauritius, Tobago, Grenada and Barbados are tropical islands on my list India to see the Taj Mahal and Kerala China to view the Great Wall The Philippines to go island hopping and snorkeling Iceland to do a circle trip Thailand to see Bangkok plus its tropical islands How about you?

I have my travel wish list too, it includes Europe, Russia, Poland, China,(The Great Wall too) in my neighborhood, I would like to go back to Mexico, and Colombia, and visit Argentina and Chile. Another look at Antigua, in Guatemala, wouldn´t be bad either. By the way, if you ever get into Costa Rica, don´t forget to give a me call, OK. :)

I fancied visiting Antigua in Guatemala when I was in Tikal and Flores. My latest trip took in Argentina and Chile. They are both very much worth visiting. Yes, I should add Russia to my list if I can ever get the visa. Yes, I will give you a call if I ever get to go to Costa Rica.

Wild nature for it own condition is somehow very physical demanding, yet, there are many places good and near San Jose, for instance, The "Teleferico del Bosque Nuboso" in the Braulio Carrillo Ntl Park, just 45 minutes from San José, also Monteverde is a good choice, with good accomodations and roads, there are many Volcanoes, near the Central Valley, where you can go by car almost to the crater. If you come about this season, I may contact a friend of mine, who can show you the nesting of the green turtles, truly amazing. I hope you can make it one day, if you do, contact me, and I will do my best to help you.

I wanted to go to Costa Rica years ago, but we could not find accomodations. Now I will have to see if my health is good enough before going. I want to be able to see nature well preserved if I ever go there.

My wish list is a lot longer than what I will be able to see in my life´s time, dear Maxine. A couple of years ago, my whole problem was where I would get the money yto go. I stopped smoking, I started my piggybanks and other things. Now it seems that money is not as big a problem as health. I would like to go to Machu Picchu, I´d like to go to Costa Rica, to Greece and I´d also like to return to the south of Spain.

My dear friend Marguicha. You did excellently to stop smoking. Yes, it is hard to save up enough money for traveling. I hope that you feel much better soon. I visited Greece when I was fourteen years old and adored seeing Athens. I also dream about seeing Machu Picchu in the future. Hug.

I suppose it was a good idea to quit smoking, Maxine. I shouldn´t have started to smoke in the first place. I think Greece and Turkey could be places to visit if I only had more energy.

Good luck with your energy levels my dear friend Marguicha. Yes, I found Turkey to be a beautiful country and I went there in the winter when few tourists were by the coast.

My husband usually says that it would be much easier to make a list of the places that I DON'T want to visit because my travel wish list is very, very long I probably won't be able to visit all of the places on my list, but I dream about visiting every continent. I want to visit Asia 6 times. The first time I want to visit Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. The second time I want to visit Singapore, Maylaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, the Philippines and Hong Kong. The third time I want to visit South Korea, Taiwan and Japan. The 4th, 5th time and the 6th time I want to visit China and India and Nepal and Russia. Those countries are not the first countries on my list, not because I don't find them interesting, but because I can't visit those places without a visa, so it will be a bit more complicated and expensive. I want to visit Africa 4 times. In the nothern Africa I want to visit Morocco and Tunisia. In western Africa I want to visit Senegal, the Gambia, Mali and Ghana. In Eastern Africa I want to visit Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. In southern Africa I want to visit South Africa, Namibia and Botswana. In South America I want to visit Peru, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia and Brazil. In Central America I want to visit to Costa Rica, Guatemala and Belize. I would also like to visit the US (I would like to travel around for a couple of months and visit many different states), Canada, Australia and New Zealand and I would like to go on a cruise in the Caribbean.

Good luck with visiting Asia six times. I agree with the comment you made about visas. Personally I think a passport should be enough. Cruising the Caribbean would be an excellent way to see the islands. On my plane ride back home from Madrid I saw Morocco out of the plane window. I found Tunisia such an exciting and lovely country to visit. Good luck with all your future travel plans. You made me laugh with your comment it would be easier for you to write a list of where you don't want to travel to. Your husband also enjoys traveling so that is excellent.

I wouldn't say that I am rich. I am not poor either. I would say somewhere in the middle. I would love to see Great Wall of China. I have been to Hong Kong but not yet China. I would need a visa to go there and I hope I will go there one day.

Our Department of Tourism (government) have slogan this year titled, Its more fun in the Philippines. I haven't traveled yet outside my country. I really would like to visit my country first before going abroad. Philippines have many island and nice places to go. One is the newly added to the wonders of the world, the underground river in Palawan Province.

Wow!! These are some interesting places on your Wish list, and hope you can figure out a way to go and do some of these. I eventually need to consider getting a pass port so I can travel outside the US, but since I have a hard time getting a Birth Certificate this would be the first needed thing as well. Some of the places I would Love to go eventually would be London and then Scotland to see my Brother and his family, Mexico on a cruise, parts of the US I have never been yet, etc. Main problem is I really do not like to Fly so finding alternative ways to get to some of these places are my main concern.

Wow, you have some really interesting places on your list. I never thought to make a travel list, but after looking at yours I think I will create one. I like how each of your places is followed by what you want to see when you get there. I'm gonna work on my list and get to you. Great discussion!!

Good luck with making your list. In the past I have tried to write lists and so I could be successful in visiting the places. My favorite city is Sydney which I visited in 1993. Someone said go to Cape Town if you like that sort of destination and Vancouver. I made it to cape Town in 2009 and to Vancouver in 2010. Yes, those were added on to another list I have: my favorites list.

I love traveling, but as with many others I can't afford to do it all the time. But with the cheaper airfares from these budget airlines and smaller (and more personal) bed and breakfasts, travel need not cost an arm and a leg. We have some similar items in our lists like the Machu Pichu (though I'm sure I have to train to get used to the thin air), the Galapagos Islands (to see how it inspired Darwin), India for the Taj Mahal as well (though also for the food), and China for the Great Wall (and the Forbidden City and famed terra-cotta army) . Here are a few more places I'd like to visit, in no order. 1. Kyoto, Japan - to see the Japanese gardens and temples. I'd love to imagine how the samurai and the geisha lived. 2. Ho Chi Minh (formerly Saigon), Vietnam - to see the French influenced architecture, a part of the Mekong River, and of course eat some pho, bhan mi, and their spring rolls 3. Barcelona and Madrid, Spain - Barcelona for its famed architecture (Casa Mila and Sagrada Familia are on top of my long list), Madrid for its museums... and both for their football teams. 4. Turkey - for the Hagia Sophia and sweets 5. Morocco - to experience the souk and have authentic Moroccan mint tea 6. Maldives - visit one of those resorts where you practically sleep over the sea 7. Germany - experience German efficiency and drive on the autobahn (no speed limit, woohoo!) Obviously, I'd love to travel the world. But this is the list -for now :) By the way, I'm from the Philippines and that plan for island hopping and snorkeling sounds good. I suggest Boracay for its fine, white sand. Though I should warm you that it's quite "touristy" --full of shops, restaurants, and resorts. Palawan is another place you might consider. You can go to the provinces capital, Puerto Princesa to visit the underground river, go island hopping, and visit the crocodile farm. For a rustic feel, go to Coron which is more secluded. But for a more luxurious visit, check out El Nido. Hope you do get to visit the Philippines some time.

hi, I really not afford to travel like you because of finance and health. Only one request please add name of India too in your list. There are so many beautiful places to visit at least one in the life, in India. Especially TAJMAHAL, at Agra is one of the seven wonders of the world. It would be my pleasure to welcome you at my home.

Wow, you must have gone around the world already. I haven’t been out of the country myself and maybe I should start making my own travel wish list so that in case I could find time and money to do that, I am prepared. Right now, maybe some visits to nearby town would be a good start.
