Hello Lotters,
I wanted to make a bit of comment on the show while watching the youtube attachments but unfortunately our friend crazzy here just made it first
. but luckily I didn't because can't really just give a whole analysis on the idol's performance since the so called weak performers for them got me goosies
Had watch them all, I don't think i can only comment but not sure if it's right or wrong though. first and foremost I didn't like the segment where idols talk about each other out there, and WHERE THE HELL IS JIMMY when you need him! looks like they're trying some thing new and that is no MENTORS. looks like they wanted to be themselves(idols).
First with Jessica, a lot of people think she ruined the whole song? and JLO was expecting her hair to go swinging and imitate rock thingy, . I have watch the original,i don't agree w/ the judges trying to make her imitate exactly what they "did". the second one was good but they didn't give criticism. Skylar by far has improved a lot and has getting the GOOD impression from the judges, making them her personal FANS?
Joshua Ledet convert that song into like his own style, though he got standing Ovation, i find it ridiculous because it wasn't such an impact for standing O. for elise, the performance was OK but not the best compare to her LED ZEPPELIN ROCK. for Phillip I feel it's the same but his own version made it a bit unique, the movements are same as usual. For Hollie, it was a good performance compare to the last few weeks ago, song choice didn't give much impact but it fitted her voice.
FIrst off, I wouldn't fall off for people hatin jessica and wanted her to be voted down, behind those performances i know she's having a real hard time inside. another thing is that if it wasn't for her being there in the first place, the other's won't excell that much like the way you see today, they won't be challenged that much. it's only this late that i realize that the praise wasn't helping Jessica at all and she fell for it. would have been better if she was also criticized like what was done to hollie.
But part of me wanted her to be out too, I don't think it's acceptable to Bash down a 16 yr. old who is not only very much alone there but now she got haters. right now, no one's being persuaded to let the guard down..but if it's time, then it's time, and i'd be out of this watching the show in the first place.
though, if she gets voted off, there are things she need to learn DANCE(movement), and CHARISMA. she focused too much on the skill she forgot to be a people person and moves a little bit more. makes me realized that Charice was still far better than her..
Sometimes I really wonder if winning it all is worth it? She will have a lot of mentors as time goes by.
If she survives, I'd still be watching it. really, i don't want any one to go home but some one's gonna go, even if it's Jessica.

lol yea sorry i beat you to it haha. i am always posting about american idol and i will for the next few weeks twice a week :D
i also thought that talking about the idols was a little messed up. i mean i guess it was fun for them but at the same time i think it isnt right for their personal comments and thoughts about 1 another to be publicized but they knew it was coming so atleast they didnt bash each other to bad. only a few of them did they actually make fun of about the way the sing (phillip beign one of them they made fun of)
i would LOVE to know what happened to Jimmy. this was a little diffrent but i guess may be they are trying to show the other side of the contestants and like i told you before maybe they wanted to see what the contestants could do without the mentors help. or they did speak with them but did not air it for some reason.
i think that the judges are going to start "favoring" Sklyer as well as their other "favorites".
i basically agree with all you have said there lol and now that i think about ityes i think Jessica should have been more critized than she was and i believe she is theone pushing everyone else higher and higher while she is getting pushed back a little.
i so hate that 1 has to go home and i also could see why people would vote Jessica off but i am still sticking to that i want Elise to go home and the others deserve another week to prove themselves.

Hello Crazzydolphin, probably because the show is live in your time and it's just late and replay in our time here. Well, Elise has gotten home at least. Jimmy for the first time had real bad disappointment on Jessica's first song, which all i think agreed but not me i love that rendition of hers. but i understand that if they criticized jessica more, she'd definitely be OVER all of them.
And I can see how they favor Joshua.

yes i am very happy about that lol but i had a feeling about that because she was the weakest out of the 6 people. the only thing is that it was a hard choice before and now it will be even harder.
i also do not think skylar has had a bad performance. she has had a few that were not "her best" but not a bad performance. i was shocked to see her in the bottom 3 also last night.
Jessica i dont think has had 1 either but she is struggling with some of the songs she is singing but her voice is so good and she does what she can with each song and it amazes everyone :)

for me, top 6 performance was a good show. everyone has performed good while others are better. borrowing the judge's comment, "everyone has at least one very good performance" that time. when i watched all 6 taking on queen and one of their choice songs, i could hear talent in different genres. if you are into vocals, there's jessica and hollie. raspy and bluesy, there's elise. skylar is country thru and thru. phillip is a band performer while joshua with the gospel voice is a classic performer from head to toe.
it's just a matter of preference.
i like jessica. i'm a fan. she does amazing with her voice. i can listen to her songs day in and day out. (i love her 2nd song)
i like skylar. she's confident and she is the most comfortable performer on stage. but i'm not a country fan. (i love her queen rendition)
when it comes to performance, i like joshua. but i cannot stand his take on songs, making them big performances from what they actually are. and the judges' standing ovations are over-rated for me.
hollie had her best night to date out of all her performances in the last few weeks.
the video-bits when they talk about other contestants... was just a joke for them and nobody should be serious about it. they were having fun. no issues i believe.

the background effects was in tribute to the original. hehe
she took big risks with a big song. gotta applaud her for the effort and courage at least. but she made it to top 5... we can all breathe easily until the next performance and elimination. hehe

Hello Myles, Of course, I have watch them before I made this discussion but crazy beat me up to it since it was shown to them LIVE earlier. What i hate the most was her performance w/ queen of the back ground of the scary three heads. for now, i feel relieved about this kind of results and ow he is in the top 5

dear LK,
I don't have much to say about this event as two of my bet we're out.
I always had in mind that, such show or contest is all about talent and not favoritism.
People's choice is fine- if they only voted fairly.
But, if voting system makes the participants win all because of group campaign- then, I don't think AI -is all about talent.
I prefer to watch The Voice, where participants wins/judge based on their talents.

cheesa, another fil-am is recently eliminated in the voice. do they have other fil-ams aside from her in the show?
i agree with lk, jessica is Talent for me (with a capital T). hehe
what i liked with american idol is that it has launched a lot of careers for the contestants in the music industry and showbiz, and made superstars for some of them too.
as for the voice, that has yet to show coz it's only on its 2nd season.

Hello Jaiho-sis, Jessica is Talent for me, same as any one else who believed and vote for her. i am not fond of the voice just yet, even though there's filipina contestant there.I know Jessica is a fan base favorite now because the judges aren't showing much favoritism on her this week. i believe it's not rigged but so far so good, she is safe

I have no real comment on this but I wanted to just giggle at the "Goosies" comment, that made my day. ROFL. Colton went off last week and I could care less who wins this one anymore, the judges were so hateful/rotten toward Colton last week and so many people (viewers) were angry as heck that he got voted off and think the judges are pushing their own faves to win this too much and I agree. Jennifer was so phoney acting like she missed him, last night. Too late J-Low, you already shoved him under the bus along with the other two judges.

Hello Nailtech, that's because the judges themselves were the one who convinces colton to return to the Audition and of course, i think they felt bad that he didn't make it but top 7 is a great deal already. we are pushing OURS to boot. as for Jennifer Lopez, i don't see her Criticism accurate.
